Where to buy replacement tailgate struts for GD3

I was wondering where I can buy some replacement struts for the tailgate. During the warmer months, they work fine but on colder days, they can't seem to hold the tailgate up (have bumped my head many times).

Interesting that the tailgate shock would fail. Have you tried contacting Honda to see if they'll replace it?

Nice Clarki Clown/Nem in your sig by the way. You a reefer?

It started failing last winter after just a little 1.5 yrs of ownership. It works fine but when temps drop below 50. Thanks. Yea, I'm a reefer. I also visit reefcentral.com regularly. You?

Your tank runs better when temps below 50? That's super cold! I thought tanks ran best at 75-85ish. I had heating problems b/c of no A/C and no chiller so I ended up getting rid of my tank awhile back and never got back into it. I was on reefcentral for a bit, but mostly sdreefs.com (local) and nano-reef.com. It's a lot of work but so rewarding to look at.

Hehe. I meant my tailgate struts work when the temp is warmer. My reef tank runs at 80-82F. I'm currently battling hair algae and cyano. I do weekly water changes, use RODI, run GFO, etc and I can't seem to beat it. My tank is 5 years old and when I moved 2 years ago, I stirred up my sand bed which I think is the main cause of my problems. I'm planning to start over with a larger tank (>200g) when I get the new house. Mine is currently a 50g but always wanted to go big.

Maybe you need more flow through your tank. I know that one cause of algae is not enough circulation. When I had algae I bought some turbo snails and nassarius snails and they took good care of the problem within a few days. Try that out, it might help.

200 sounds nice! Maybe an in wall with a fish room?
