2009 Honda Fit - Brake Question
I just had my pads, rotor and drum replaced on my 2009 Honda Fit by a highly rated garage. Two things I noticed while driving home. When completely stopped, the brake pedal slowly lowers to basically full deflection (this was not the case before). Also, the brake light on the dashboard is lit up.
I'm no car maintenance expert, but I have some guesses. Is the brake fluid low? Is there a brake fluid leak? Bottom line is, should I bring it back tomorrow? I paid a lot of money and I feel like something is wrong.

If they replaced the brake fluid (recommended every three years) they may need to re-bleed the system.
The brake lamp could be the float in the master cylinder. Either the fluid is low or the float is stuck (possible, if the fluid was old).
For sure, bring it back! A shop's reputation is only as good as their worst technician.

Hi, sailorman. If there is no fluid leakage on wheels or in another part of the brake system, the master cylinder may have been damaged when carrying out bleeding in the workshop. When the cylinders are widely used, as in this case, one should not step on the pedal to the bottom during bleeding because it can just damage the master cylinder piston. Perhaps the master cylinder has to be replaced by a new one. Post us what is found and the solution.

This is why I do all my own work. Professionals, no matter how good, are rushed and dont have the time to triple check everything. The worst thing is that most shops today skip the most important quality control check, a road test. Part of a complete brake job is to make several very hard applications, not to a full stop, in order to bed in new pads with new or machined rotors.
