Broken 2007 transmission?
Hello I was driving my 2007 fit today and went to put it in drive and it made a horrible noise and grinded and when I tried to drive it it would go no where but the speedometer told me I was moving. None of the gears worked they all may as well be neutral now and when you have it on put it in drive then put it in park it makes a bad squeek noise till u turn off the car. Can someone please help give me some ideas I am taking autos courses in school and may bring it in to see if it is worth fixing there because I will only have to pay for parts and all of my friends and the teachers can help me work on it. Please let me know if anyone knows what's going on.

I have the same exact problem with my 2007 Honda Fit. It happened today. I drove my daughter to school. Put the car into park. She got out. I put into drive and there was a large pop and grinding noise. The car does not go into gear.
Have you determined what the issue is. The shop I had it towed to did not start the analysis yet.
Thanx.

If the speedometer shows you are going any speed when you put it in gear, then you most likely broke one of the axles.
Last month I replaced both axles on my 07 BEFORE one breaks and causes my GF to be stranded.

If it hasn't already been done, I strongly urge you to replace the other axle before it breaks and strands you. Do it while it's convenient instead of waiting until it is a crisis.
