07 hesitation issue
Hello,
Has anyone had issues with a stutter or hesitation with 07 fits? My fit has about 160,000 miles and is still in good shape overall but ever once in a while it will lack power. I have been using 89 octane lately because 87 octane seems to act up more. Please advise if you have similar issues and/or remedies. Thanks in advance!

I have an 07 MT with ~170K miles as well.
This tends to happen to mine on cold start and will stutter and even stall sometimes. What I find is that letting the car warm-up and drop the idle a bit will stop this from happening.
From what I've read on here some suggest a valve adjustment.
I'm sure I need some sort of tune, valve adjustment or carb clean treatment. I haven't really done anything else to the fit beside the routine oil and filter changes.

The longer you let a car go, the more likely the results get worse.
Main reasons coil packs die is corrosion, and too high of current draw when firing. The high current comes from the spark plugs aging and the weak firing due to valve adjustment. Some folks get lucky and the magic combo of nice hard valves and seats and a harder average camtrain make them last a long time.. That's not the majority. You likely could pay for the tune-up and valve adjust with the fuel savings over the long haul. After all we are talking about 250 bucks every 60 to 80 K miles..
Good luck.
