Ya because we have very high customs duty. Now they made the customs little lower, so the City 1.5L cost $17K and it's auto, alloy wheel, ABS.
So there no more 1.3L.

The base model Jazz that doesnt come with alloys, fogs or on steering controls costs aprox US$ 12,000. The full option (that comes with the above) costs US$ 13,350.
I know these prices sound cheap to you, but my budget is only US$ 9,500.... and i could get a fully automatic, slightly used, Civic 05 model for under US$ 10,000.
17000 for a city? damn man! - thats the price of a full option, leather interior, 07 civic here!
I love the 07 Jazz and i hope it comes out in US and the rest of the world with the new trans. and power... People will really love it!
Only 2 options for the Jazz
Base costs 45,000AED (US$ 12,252) - fully auto, keyless, fogs, sports kit,
Full Option costs 50,000AED (US$ 13,613) - gets on steering controls, and alloys
For the City - im not 100% sure
Base (1.3L) - 43,000AED (US$ 11,707)
Mid option (1.3L) 47,000AED (US$ 12,796)
Full Option (1.5L) 52,000AED (US$ 14,157)
For the Civic
many different trim levels / options (6 options i think)
Base - 54,000AED (US$ 14,700) - The body style is ur Acura CSX shape
Full Option - 64,000AED (US$ 17,424)
At the moment there is a 3 month waiting period on the Civic so dealers are charging slightly higher prices....
Unfortuneately, we do not have an "Si" or "Type R" just yet.....
Since u also asked about 06 models i assume u might be looking at used cars as well - City depreciates real fast - Jazz not so bad - and the civic does really well at keeping value (partially because of the waiting period from dealers)
We don't have 2007 Jazz but City 2007,and here they say it has 121hp, what strange parts is that the City is made in Thailnd, and when I went to Honda Thailand found all City have 110hp, and all in the City fourms all were suprised that there is 121hp City or Jazz.
Just talked to the people in Honda dealer and asked about 121hp, they told there is no diffrence at all from 2006 and 2007 models, and the 121hp is gross hp and the 110hp is the net hp.
