you can try act(advance clutch technology),it is very useful only if your fit have more than 190hp..if less than that i think theres no significant differences, because from my experience with my turbo l15a idsi(non vtec) that has 191hp on crank( 0.71 bar boosted tdo4+standard internal+extra injectors+intercooler),the original factory clutch still ok and not slip, untill i remove the downpipe.of course after take out the downpipe(whole piping+exhaust),the horsepower will increase and it always slipped especialy when i try drag the car.here in indonesia, mostly the honda jazz vtec touring car change their clutch to act, imported from us,which i think cheaper for local people there.but u have to buy the pressure plate + disc for mitsubishi car, honda fit not out for sale yet i think.if you visit the act website you search the pressure plate code mb013,and the disc code 4200104.this setup fit our l15a gearbox, but you have to skimmed the flywheel(make the surface flat) in order to fit it,the screw hole+position all exactly fit our l15a gearbox without any modification.but, for sure in the future you must replace with act also because after modify the flywheel ,original l15a clutch cant fit anymore.or you buy new l15a flywheel to fit the original clutch back.this setup also just fine for daily use,but lil bit harder and day by day you will adapted to it,dont worry...happy trying, hope i can solve your problem...
scary? haha...first im also doubt bout the setup, but cant hold anymore bcoz always slip the clutch when boosting.and it realy works especially for those boosting the l15a...so far i think it is the cheaper way than other brand as im from south east asia and usd rate really high nowadays...lucky for those who live in US...
Im just not a fan of making things "fit"... especially when they spin at high revs... Ive seen too many shattered flywheels and clutches fly through bellhousings to really feel comfortable about that sort of thing...
But hey, thats just me...
BTW: our stage 2 will hold your power when it arrives.
you got your point...and im so sorry because im not discrediting someone,in my opinion this setup is not "just to fit" in..i already use it for two months, and it really works.this idea came from the race participant itself,it is also use by highly rev honda jazz vtec "touring challange race cars" in indonesia that of course running many laps at the circuit for years now without any problem...thats just my little info...
Sorry, If I seemed like I was criticizing your solution, that wasnt my intention.
Believe me, I completely appreciate creativity in solving problems.
I just wanted to remind people of the potential dangers that we ALL choose to overlook sometimes when we are building our projects. (believe me, I have been there and done that)
Im just glad that there are at least SOME options out there for the Fit guys...
Since it seems like the Fit never really got the aftermarket attention that it has deserved.
COME ON!!! STAGE 1 CLUTCH PLZ!!! I'm at 50k miles and mine is still pretty good but I'm desperate to change it out. jejeje I want that high grip clutch feel.
