N/A Power

Now I'm pretty familiar with the B and K series engines and almost all of them produce near or above 100 HP per Liter of displacement.

Now I obviously don't expect the L15 VTEC to produce anything near 100 HP/L, but I really wonder what N/A performance possibilities it does have. Just as a thought experiment, if you bored it out to 1.7L, raised the compression to 11.5:1, and added 300 RPM to the 6300 RPM redline, it should proportionally raise the HP from 109 to ~143. Throw in some ECU tuning and you'd have peak HP equal to that of a supercharged Mugen Fit (obviously less torque).

Does anyone have some info about newer (more power) L series engines in the works? I imagine an L18 VTEC would make ~130 HP.

And what are some common redlines for SOHC VTEC engines? Maybe I'm being unrealistic, but 6300 seems "awfully" low.

the L15Vtec afaik produces around 109bhp.

I'm not too sure on the N/A performance's of the car, but I've heard of people putting in turbo kits into one, as well as a full K20A conversion.

The cost of NA built motors on small liter cars is not worth it. Much better bang for buck with a simple turbo setup.

IMHO
