Brazil ECU, injector Swap for E85 usage?

Just curious.

Since almost all of the cars sold in Brazil are now flex-fuel, do you think that a Brazilian Fit ECU (with fuel sensor) and injectors would be a straight swap to the American L15? I would imagine everything else *should* be the same...

I mean, im sure I would have to reprogram the keys...

Not looking to start another "ethanol vs. gas" post, this is for information. Anybody have any insight?

I think you meant to ask what engine they are running (in Brazil).

Honda Brazil's website says they have a 1.4L and a 1.5L in the New Fit. Im assuming the 1.5 is the L15A i-VTEC.

i think they have different gauges, stereo etc... so the ECU might not work with the USDM gauges etc.

Hmm...
Well on Honda Brazil's website it has pictures. They are red gauges (and in KM) but I dont think they are much different than ours. The radio looks practically the same too. I know that doesnt mean that they would work, but there is at least a chance.

In other info: Dang, they have auto climate control and leather on their Fits!
