Unorthodox crank pulley is lighter now?

My pullies arrived today so I decided to weigh them on my kitchen scale:

Crank pulley turned out to be 323 g. Thats noticeably lighter than the original 461 g. The part number on the instruction sheet was CS6151 and on my pulley it is CS6161. Anyone else have this?

Alternator pulley was a few grams heavier at 66 g:

I didn't realize that a serpentine belt was also included in the kit:

different belt means something is underdriven for power. Keep an eye on your charging voltage at idle. Should still be over 12 volts if you expect to keep your battery alive during stop and go traffic

Well it turns out I got a pulley for the 2009 Fit, not the 2007. UR is currently resolving the issue.

I just searched UR's site and they don't have a listing for the 2007 Honda Fit. Only the 2009. Products for %s

Yes they told me that they stopped selling it for a while. AKAIK it was never listed on their site even when it first came out.

I got the correct pulley today and it is also lighter than previously stated. I will verify with pictures soon.

It looks like the GD pulley is now 342 g (0.75 lbs) as opposed to the original weight of 461 g (1.01 lbs). :-)

Well I'm hoping for 15 sec 1/4 mile N/A with bolt on and weight reduction. We'll see!

Dev,
What weight reduction and power mods you have? Was hoping it was listed in your sig or something. Running 16's from high 17's/low 18's is pretty awesome being N/A and all. Congrats either way. What is your best 1/4 mile time/trap speed?

getting to the 15 second club will be easy. I do not have any lightweight rotating stuff except for the lighter rims. Im sitting at 16.3

You can definitely go into the 15s with no rear seats and getting lighter pulley and flywheel. Doesnt hurt to see if there is a Japan-aftermarket available clutch that is a smaller diamter for even less inertia!

It would be pretty awesome if you stripped it all down, stiffened the chassis, turbo'd. Perfect autocross car.

Hey guys, only power mod so far will be the UR pullies and lighter VX wheels. Need to get some decent tires too. For weight reduction I'm running a 2 lbs Ballistic Evo2 8 cell battery and the vx wheels. Most of the weight reduction will be for racing only and it will be listed here: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/1st-...ight-list.html

The plan right now is to add parts as I need them....fidanza flywheel when the clutch is replaced, PRM intake, Weapon R race header. Cat back exhaust will be stock for daily driving and will run open header at the track for weight savings and extra top end power.

I'll have some pics of the car added to my album when I got the T1R springs installed. Looks funny without the drop, lol.

Had the pullies installed today, took some pics of the OEM weights:

Stock crank pulley 4.82 lbs or 2185 g.

Stock alternator pulley 0.49 lbs or 220 g.

Didn't notice much performance wise except that I can now chirp 2nd gear, so perhaps a couple whp difference. In the pulley instructions it says that the greatest hp gain comes after driving for several days. *shrug*

Your ECU will increase timing advance due to the reduction of rotating mass and the change in belt ratio... I had thought about using an aluminum pulley but blew it off when I installed a Kraftwerks supercharger.. I do have light wheels though and a Clutch Masters FX350 Clutch with aluminum flywheel is on a UPS truck and will be here this evening..The shipping weight is 20.90 LBs.. Instead of 190mm it has 212mm friction surface.

4.07lbs reduction in rotating mass at the crank is significant in my case. Especially for such a low hp car like the fit. Thanks for the scale info. Really appreciate it. I NEED this for the 2015 Fit if it 'fits'.

This is the first time I ever heard anyone mention this. Why is this the case? Would timing advance take place with other rotating parts being lighter as well (Ex: Wheels, flywheel, crankshaft/piston, driveshaft, etc)?

4 pounds is a lot to remove from rotating mass, but it is hub center mass that is being removed. half a pound off the flywheel on the friction surface area would be more noticable then 4 pounds off the pulleys

Well over the past week my avg KPL has gone from 9.68 to 9.88. That's with the occasional spirited drive to test out my springs and pullies.

Those pulleys are super lightweight! How much did the kit cost and what was the part # for the kit??
