Thanks to everyone for the pics and suggestions. I have just gotten off the phone with Alex at Invision and placed my order for the Megan axel back. I'll be painting it just like ArisenFury did.
Umm... What angle? ... last time I looked at mine it was pretty straight.
I might be confusing it with another...maybe A-Spec? I know I read one description that specifically pointed out that the muffler was angled by design, because it was "aggressive" or something. I thought in the above picture the spoon one looked angled, but now I'm thinking that's just an artifact of the angle of the photo. My mistake.

You may have overpaid-- I got my Megan Axle-back from an eBay vendor for $165.
im also looking for an exhaust thats not too loud. i want something that kinda hums at idle, and hums louder during acceleration, just nothing really loud and poppy sounding. i really want the spoon n1 but am curious of a few things, 1. with the silencer in what kinda sound does it put out 2. when coupled with the spoon b-pipe, will it get louder or stay relatively the same 3. at bulletproofautomotive.com, they have another spoon axle back that kinda looks like a stock muffler (but much shinier), my question about this piece is, will it offer the same performance as the n1 or not quite as much? have always had my eye on spoon, just need a little extra info before i commit.
like they say, you get what you pay for. i've had them on all my cars and love them. nice deep tone, and it's sounds better as you climb in revs.
but i guess it's not for all.

SciroccoTDI, when I read your posts it is like listening to my best friend, a French guy and ultimate VW fanatic. I love it! His Rabbit GTI was the beautiful sleeper in contrast to my CRX. We had a kicks out of swapping cars at AutoX events and canyon cruises.
Welcome to most down to earth, friendliest forum on the web.
I like your blacked out stealth approach. My Tanabe DTM is quiet at cruising speed, but gets loud under load. Not as bad as I expected it, but loud.
I like large twin DTM tail pipes, too. You know, shock effect on a small car, but.....
I am looking into going stealth for both exaust looks as well as sound. No visible tail pipes. Intake too! It will take some time and money playing with it. It will have to be servicable (openable) so I can try different shape chambers and insulation inside both intake and exaust.
Crap, another project! As if I do not have enough to deal with already!

Welcome man and keep it coming!
Thanks man!
From your pics, ya, your tips stick out far too much for my tastes, but I love the painted stock sport rims man, looks great!
I just got the order shipment confirmation from iptuned.com, so I'll be sure to post some pics (don't have any way to record video sadly) once I get the Megan all painted and installed
IMO....I think to each is his/her own. We are all different age groups from different parts of the world coming together to share thoughts and experiences.
Seeing a pattern with exhaust systems, the younger crowd seems to enjoy the larger exhaust systems and the older crowd seems to like something a little more suttle or maybe something looking stock but offering the same power and performance as a cannon. Don't get me wrong this does not apply to everyone but from what I've seen.
Keeping in mind everyone here was not always a Honda owner, maybe a first timer, used more of a sport exhaust system (example VW, Audi, BMW even american), still offering the same great benefits.
I would think the Fit would be loosing way to much back pressure installing a huge cannon....IMO. Back pressure means alot, especially on tiny engines like the 1.5L.
hope this helps.
I'm thinking about doing a custom axle back. A friend of mine has a Stromung dual tip that looks very oem but has a nice sound to it. I just need to know the dimension of length from end to end. I want the tip to stick out a bit but not too much.
Me too, thank you so much for having the idea and showing me the pictures of yours!
EDIT: Now, once I get some steelies for my snow tires, I'm thinking of taking the stock wheels to be powder coated white...I've seen white rims on a black car quite a bit, and I love the painted stock rim look (both yours Arisen, and Ciburri's)
There's another guy on here somewhere who painted his stock sport wheels white on his Nighthawk Black, I think his thread was in the Pictures and Videos thread. Looked pretty good.
i dont know u guys...i love my skunk2 fart can, 400 for a cbe, loud as hell without silencer but clean and clear not raspy at all, lower and deeper with silencer, the best of both worlds. but it does have a big can at the end.
