Thought I'd drop you all a quick update on some highway driving tests I did today, despite the fact that there are photo enforcement zones all over the Phoenix area.
From a dead stop at freeway onramp meters, WOT acceleration is much improved, and it feels like there's a more significant surge than with the more stock setup. The engine feels like it responds better to throttle blips for some reason, and doesn't get bogged down as much between shifts at lower rpms.
The additional surge really helps when going around and passing other vehicles. The Fit has always felt very sluggish in this regard, and although it's not what you would get from a K-swap or FI, I felt much more confident today with the full I/H/E system. 3000-6000rpm passing acceleration felt great, and the car is just a lot more fun to drive without it feeling overwhelmingly so. I imagine this will really help when driving on the interstates, short onramps or on steeper uphill grades.
