[quote=pokems23]Anyone know if it exceeds the 95 db law level? Keep seeing in other forums that Cops won't like the sound of cars without a muffler.[/quote
I really haven't measure it, but I can tell you that is quieter than the mayoruti of the axleback sold. check the video and that is at full throtle al the track. windows oprn and belive that thereare some serious echo/reverb in that track. at idle is almost like stock.

Like the look... how are the springs working out? I would be afraid that the rear gasoline line cover - the metal thing that looks like a truck jack stand bottom - would get hung up on speed bumps.

have been trying to make up my mind as i prefer, because of former experience, EIBACH springs. Thanx for the heads-up. Will see if I could get the springs put in less than I was quoted for my Accord: $110.00 per wheel and extra parts that the shop wanted to do and I didn't like.
The video, with sound, is here. I love it. needless to say; I'm keeping it off
Just to be safe, just put an extension pipe pointing towards the road (40-45 degree angle, just like donwpipes...) The muffler sound would be better. I tried it already on road and race tracks.

how are those springs...they must be very stiff...i like my skunks, but those look like what i should have gotten for mine...are you getting rims???
the springs are great, not too stiff , only when the road gets really choppy. but the car handles like its on a rail. i like the stock rims. i'm just gonna save up for 205/55-15 bfg g-Force T/A KDW-2 and a pair of 15 or 20mm H&R spacers for the rear BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2
What a great ghetto mod! Makes sense on a small engined car like the Fit. Do it on a powerful car and for sure it would be way too loud. Nice one peeps!

The Fit with a straight pipe or no muffler almost sounds quieter than N1 style mufflers. LOL.
Oh that's what I noticed too. Maybe that's because of the resonator at the mid pipe.
I took the muffler off my car after work yesterday. Just a 5min job and it sounds quieter than my EM1 civic w/SPOON N1 muffler+stock header+stock cat & mid pipe @ idle. It just gets louder when I get on to the throttle but nothing annoying so far.
I guess I will keep the muffler off until winter comes again.
