Windshield with Sound Insulation?
My 2007 Fit Sport MT has 101k miles. I've got the itch for a new car that is quieter and has a much better stereo with blue tooth and other up-to-date features (I haven't done any mods in 8 years other than a dead pedal & security cover). However, there's nothing wrong with my Fit, and with good care I'm confident it can still be good @ 202k miles.
So I've been doing research on upgrading the stereo and adding sound insulation, but even if I do everything recommended at Welcome to Sound Deadener Showdown | Sound Deadener Showdown, there would still be a considerable amount of wind noise coming through the windshield.
Today, a rock kicked up by a truck left a small crater in the windshield on the passenger side. Rather than get it fixed, I'm entertaining the possibility of replacing the windshield. I know that windshields with acoustic laminate are becoming more available and factory installed on some cars, but ...
... is this product available for a 2007 Fit?
