Once upon a time I was at a coffee shop. We had 5 pc's. I was on one of them signed in as myself. I was debating something with someone, my friend was standing behind me. My friend wanted in on the discussion so he sat down in the chair next to me. He logged in with the same ident and IP as me. Why? Because our connections were configured the same and we were on the SAME router.

I'll leave it at that.

So when JDMChris asked why they came from the same IP, why didn't they answer? Why did they ignore the question rather than just tell me what you just told me? There is more than just simply IP's, but conflicting comments made by the person posting.

heres my opinion on this.(not that anybody cares)
JDMChris has a right to his opinion but has he been following the progress of the s/c after the falling out between the two companies.if he has the i feel he has the right to come in and make the comments hes made but if he hasn't been around how can he say that the kit hasn't been improved upon

This is getting mighty interesting....

At the end of the day all the good people of this forum are trying to do is protect end users from making a mistake and getting screwed over.

That is why JDMChris is in here.

- A very very similar setup to the KW kit appearing out of nowhere.

- A new company no one knows.

- 2 users using the same IP one being the seller and the other defending the seller for no reason.

I won't say anymore but I encourage the fine members of this community to be aware of this and look into it more before throwing down some of their hard earned cash.

Funny thing is, you can compare the two setups. If you go and check out the first few pages of the KW threads, you'll notice they took some pics of the engine on the Skunk2/KW Fit. It looks pretty much identical to what you see from the DT one. Not saying changes weren't made, but so far no information has been provided to prove that there were any changes made.

Sorry I should have written that differently, I meant a vendor not previously known to the fitfreak community or known that much for their import performance parts.

Everything in this thread that is not specifically related to the comparisons between the 2 kits should be deleted!

More information on both kits please, and how about some pictures?

I think that most of the talk here has been specifically related to the comparisons between the 2 kits. For some of us the manufacturer is as important as the specs.

Would you rather buy an airplane ticket from American Airlines or from Bill & Frank's Swan Flight Extraordinaire?

Depends. Who actually services their plane at their recommended intervals? Southwest just got caught red handed. Totally off topic, but I think I made my point. You can't compare a twin prop aircraft to a commercial airliner. A better comparison would be short haul flights between Southwest and American Airlines...AFAIK, American Airlines services theirs at regular scheduled intervals, but Southwest doesn't. Southwest may be cheaper, offer a similar product, maybe even preferred because of their hospitality, but I would have to say American Airlines is safer because of their safety and maintenance record.

For some of us it's not all about the product, but about the businesspeople selling the product.

So, sorry. Not all of us like to be selfish. I personally like to reward good moral business practitioners.

if this is the case, then why reward someone shady? kw has been more than kind enough to answer all types of crazy questions when they don't have too, a lot of them over and over again!

as far as power goes, a few more hp on paper isn't the whole thing at stake...there are general things with the DT kit that don't seem to have been addressed by them, such as the lack of power in lower rpms as chris has stated; they have yet to shed some light. and i dunno about you, but one of the reasons i'm going with a rotrex is to enjoy the lack of peaky power like in a turbo; i want my low end. there has also been some commentary on the placement of the charger itself and how its not in the most ideal spot to avoid being smacked on the floor while driving. KW has consistently kept us up to date on the improvements they have made...if DT has done the same, why the sudden surge in posts, right before the KW goes on sale? hmmm.....

if we do go by your approach to reward those selling the product based on how THEY are in general, than would it be safe to assume that you ARE in fact getting a KWSC? because it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that JDMchris is not in any way, shape, or form a representative for kraftwerks...he just happens to be the only guy with the kit.(not to mention that he does not have the audacity to sign on as another user just to try and drive a point or to get info out of someone.) To top it off, KW has done a MUCh better job in relaying info to us as a consumer.

this may sound a bit off topic, but like you said, its just as fair to compare the vendors right?
