Does Honda tell you how there 2017 Fit RSR is going? I'm kidding.

Here is a recent example:
S2000 Kits- We did a soft release of information to the public, showing our prototype kit and prototype dyno graphs at 300whp (a weak area under the curve as well). This was about 3 months sooner than we should of. People were happy, but then started talking about how terrible the kit looked and how it could perform better.

Well, the production kit looks completely different from the prototype, with all of its nice CNC brackets, clean pieces, and OE lines.
Also, our S2000 kit makes 365whp (published on our site), and customers are seeing 380+whp. So it performs A LOT different.

Basically, we want to limit the amount of false or old information. We may rapid prototype and test things to test a concept. It may work, it may not. After that, we have to determine if the product makes it to production or not. Some projects get left at prototype and canceled.

So its not that we are mean, we just want to make sure the information that you receive about our product is 100% accurate.

-OJR
Makes total sense. Thanks OJR.

Seriously, do you guys not think they will release the info as soon as they are confident in the product I agree it is taking a bit of time, but Christ, they will post when they are ready

I vote that nobody posts until Kraftwerks releases the info, cuz I'm getting sick of checking the thread

On a side note: Price still seems quite high....

Time isn't free!!!!

The more time they (KW) spend on R&D, the less time we spend on making the product work.

I bought this rattling, rubbing, leaking exhaust header from "weapon argh" that I had to tweak it for hours and it still doesn't work properly. If ownly they spent the time insted of me i'd be much happier

Oh I'm in full agreement... Take as much time as neccessary to put out the best possible product!!

Despite that I still think the price should be lower - Look at the Jackson Racing kits from days gone by. I know these are quality kits, however the fit is a very entry level car. Just my $0.02

Oscar Jr. and others: do you guys find that the bottom of your filter is hitting the A/C recharge bung? Mine is hitting it pretty bad to a point where the mesh on the filter has given way. What did you guys do to move it out of the way? It's a hard line and I can't twist it away or push it down anymore.

Yea i moved mine as much as i could with my bare hands, and in my case, the rubber of the filter is hitting the pipe and whittling it down slownly. It'll have a hole in it and need to be replaced pretty soon... yet that's the least of my worries. I regret not waiting until the full kit was released (high boost, hondata, etc) to buy it....

Yeah I'm with Rexxxxxxxx on this one, should have waited till next year to be honest and waited for the Hondata + High Boost kit. Oh well. eldaino, if you are going to wait, I will probably be selling my setup next spring along with my gauges etc. and probably the Hondata upgrade as well. Think I'll be swapping cars next summer

That filter issue I knew from the get go, but its getting worse. I'm going to see what I can do with it to make it right...

Same problem here. Fitment was a nightmare as far as moving things out of the way, and even after months of getting under the hood every weekend, I still have hoses rubbing on filters and pipes. So far, the belt's been untouched (thank God).

their's no room in the engine bay for things not to rub. i will be relocating the intake tube to go under the header and up by the battery tray. the current location is ridiculously close to the header and way too much heat soak imo. granted there is not too much room to play with in their but i'm going to tweak it once again. should have been called the you-tune kit between the belt squealing, clamps loosening, too rich running, and pipe relocating but hey whose counting. But i am one of the few lucky people who dropped 4+ grand for 20+ horsepower.

Hope the a/t kit doesn't see any of these problems.

gmayronne has a little shameless behaviour in the past
its amazing the kinda feedback this kit has received. seemingly all the praise has dwindled into frustration and a somewhat justified impatience given the price, delays, and assurances everything would be A-O-K with its "easy" but apparently sketchy installation. im not knocking Kraftwerks because i KNOW they are professionals and i KNOW its not their intention to frustrate people but is their anyone rocking this kit with NO issues what-so-ever???....besides JDMChris. whether is squeaky belts or objects being dangrously close to each in the engine bay its a bit dis-heartening to hear Kraftwerks mention "that should not be happening!" with a big fat exclamation point at the end and these issues are shared amongst so many owners....i mean come on. maybe its a case of being "first to own isn't always best for the owner" scenario where in time things will naturally get better, beginnings are always iffy. im not hating on ya Kraftwerks, im a big fan of your work and wish the best to you and the owners of your kit.

I havent had any issues at all with the supercharger, just a few thigns rubbing each other that ive mostly taken care of. The only issue is there just isnt very much more power then stock at all w/just the 5psi base kit. Just waiting on the Hondata/high boost and hoping it will all be worth the costs and wait.

This is very frustrating to us, and we are concerned for our customers. Frustration should not be in the customer's vocabulary. We have done numerous installs personally and have had third parties install our kits without our assistance. Every install has gone extremely well. All of our installation centers put the kit together, with no squeaks or issues. We have a lot more customers than on FitFreak.net, that when installed correctly and following the instructions, have had absolutely no issues and flawless drivability.

Yes, it seems that some pieces of the kit have frustrated people, and we have even had people come down to our facility with these issues, and have fixed them for no charge; even when these issues were installer-related. We want to make sure our customers are satisfied.

We stand behind our product and its performance. When the instructions are followed by a competent mechanic, our customers will have zero issues.

The delays are actually for good reasons. I have had some FitFreak members down at out facility recently seeing these new Fit developments. We hold the Fit close to us, and are striving to make it an even better performer. We are putting a lot of time and effort into our Fit product. I know everyone is tired of hearing about our testing, but what we are about to release will really change how the Rotrex is put on economical engines. And we believe in testing tremendously before releasing it, so we have the answers.

take all the time u need
R&D is EXTREMELY importantant
a couple of months late is better than a couple of months early
remember people = every minute they spend on R&D is a minute that WE don't have to spend tweaking a premature and/or crappy product

I am sorry Oscar but I take offense to some of this. I did the install on Illusive`s car and he has been experiencing a CEL because of the injector upgrade and his supercharger belt sometimes squeels because it is very very tight in a specific spot.

Everything was tripple checked, we followed all installation instructions and when the car was fired the first time, no belts/bolts/clamps were loose, no fluid leaked and she fired right up.

Because of the way the supercard works and because there is no real engine management, the CEL is coming up because at 3000ft of altitude the car runs richer then at sea level. He was told countless times to buy the injector upgrade that turned out to be useless and basically getting him worst milleage and that code.

The belt rubbing issue I will blame on the tensioner because, installed, our tensioner does not look like the one in your picture, it is much lower. All the bolt holes lined up, it was installed exactly like instructed and we even tried 2 belts since Illusive was nice enough to buy 2. Even after that t is very close together and sometimes wants tu rub a bit.

It should also be noted that the A/C line close to the alternator was relocated as instructed and the alternator is pushed all the way towards the front of the car and the belt is still very tight and close to rubbing...

Lastly, the filter sits directly on top of the a/c plastic tab and there is no way that tab could be bent or twisted out of the way without first removing it from the car or breaking something trying to do it with it on.

Chris` Fit does not have the tab pointing up yet I have now worked on 7 different Fits and they all have it pointing the exact same way. Is this a Canada thing who knows...

I take offense to your comments because you make it sound like your kit is basically perfect the way it is and it`s basically all installer error when in reality it is a good kit with a few kinks and subpar engine management with the supercard.

I am sorry if this sounds harsh but I don`t feel it`s right to attack the installer before actually knowing exactly all the details to why someone is having an issue with their car. Oh and I`m not even talking about the brake and a/c lines that in our case are not rubbing but it was still a PITA to mod..
