Thank you jsensk for bringing up the lack of overall feedback regarding the FIT KWSC. I think that the KWSC is well worth every penny that I've spent on it.

Reliability is top shelf. I've never had a CEL come on since installing the SC. Kraftworks has always been available to answer all of my questions. Kraftworks is willing to do custom work for me because I have the JDM front end and one of the discharge pipes needs customizing to work. Kraftworks has supplied me with additional hadware when I asked for them.

R&D is amazing! I wish I could tell you what I know about addition KW parts for the Fit but KW probably wouldn't like that. Lets just say that they have other parts in development that will increase horsepower that are unrelated to the SC.

KWSC's power gains are around 30whp (basic kit) over stock hp. Two years ago Ben Leung from AJR had tons of bolt ons (mainly J's and his parts retailed much more than $3500) when he raced in the time attack at Willow Springs. His car made around 125whp. Now AJR and KW's racing cars make more than 200 whp. However, Oscar says that type of power is not feasible in a DD. In past posts, Oscar JR said that he thinks the max whp for a DD is around 165.

So I think that the lack of power gain reviews for the KWSC is somewhat telling of the truth - our SC FITs make a little more than 120 whp. When compared to a Fit with full exhaust and intake the SC only makes around 10whp more. When compared to the majority of new cars the KWSC makes much less hp.

On the other hand, when compared to other cars that get 41mpg - the KWSC Fit is probably one of the fastest cars. Furthermore, if and when you get your car onto the track the KWSC kit really helps to lay down better times. Most of you don't know this but last year Oscar Jr. raced at the California Speedway in a Fit with their 5# SC. He set some of the best lap times at the event. He even beat out mighty Mitsubishi EVOs.

So for those of you who want a quick street car - this probably isn't for you. For those who want to lay own faster track times - this probably is for you. For those who want a faster economy car - this definetly is for you because you can get more hp for less money.

Lance! So you ARE the one they told me about with the JDM front. I gutted my hood and am running hoodpins for now, but will have that fixed shortly. Glad you like the Kit. We should meet up soon, our cars probably look the same lol.

i dunno about you guys, but most manual fits seem to be putting down low 90's to the ground (hp that is) and i just don't see how intakes, and exhausts can be adding almost 20whp, if the kraftwerks is adding 30whp and ends up only being 10whp more like you claim. it just doesn't make any sense!

From everything I have seen a good intake & Exhaust for this car typically gives you about a 7-10whp gain.

Just to build on this a bit, the supercharger gives you a substantial power gain across the entire power band, not just at the peak. That means your low end, your mid range and high end are all superior to NA bolt ons even if they were somehow able to match the SC at the tippy tippy top. When you actually feel the difference the SC makes it wins hands down (be on the track or on the highway).

I had a chance to ride along with Illusive back to back with my car, his Fit makes mine feel pretty slow (ok, maybe more like standing still slow ) despite the substantial NA setup I have. For the record I have spent about 3250$ on actual power making engine bolt on's alone and I am probably only putting down 115 to 120whp if I am lucky. SC is totally worth it IMO.

This is a cyntrifical turbine, not a roots like what your thinking. Jackson Racing makes the roots supercharger which whines. The cyntrifical design of the KW's Rotrex does not whine, but you may hear a Bypass Valve sound from this kit.

If you are interested in getting the KWSC, it would be extremely valuable to read all the past posts about the KWSC in the Forced Induction Forum. I think there are 3-4 threads and they have a lot of info. Spend the time to read them all, and you will be very well knowledged and know what to expect and how to prepare for the kit.

My fit before the SC with header, testpipe, b pipe, axleback was 100whp even. 5psi and injectors took me to 145.so total all my mods was about a 50% increase in hp from bone stock. No way anyone with normal i/h/e will be over 110whp.... more like 105.

sugarphreak: thats what i wanna hear! thanks for your real world impressions, we need more folks to be jumping on this, i hope justin can give us some more input soon!

JDMCHRIS: yeah, i knew that that had to be screwy. I just can't imagine someone doing basic bolt ons and reaching over 100whp only to have a stock fit with the kit out do their whp by only a few ponies, even if it is all over the powerband.

I've got another question. Once you have 144whp (or more), how badly do you need an LSD? I'd like a supercharged daily driven Fit, but I'd also be interested in taking to an Auto-X event or maybe even VIR occasionally.

Does anyone have any opinions/experience with this?

144whp your still good.... I never had any wheel spin while turning... Of course you will still benefit from a LSD anytime... even with a stock Fit.
