My wife will be happy to learn that I saved $800.00, but it took me quite a bit longer than a day..... I don't feel so bad about the time it took, I am almost 60 and supposed to be in a wheelchair.

I have thought about the oil cooler for the traction oil and the cooling effect of that and the fact that the unit is so much cooler in operation than a turbo charger due to being belt driven...... I am thinking that unless it is pretty affordable that the space under the hood could be better utilized for a water/methanol injection system..... I can't recall ever seeing a blown dragster with a heat dissipation unit of any kind and they use any and every thing to make torque and power.

The only thing that is in any way a negative about super charging is that my fuel mileage is back to where it was when the car was new..... I think it is a pretty good trade off for the smiles, though fuel prices are on the rise again..... I guess I will have to stiffen up the throttle spring a little or use a little more self control.

C'mon now, I'd much rather have the smiles per gallon and power on demand!

Myself as well, as I said, but it will not be as easy to enjoy if fuel prices continue to rise, so I am trying to prepare by using a lighter foot..... I am finding it very difficult to do and considering getting a Pivot throttle controller in order to have a slower than stock throttle when I need to economize, and of coarse the adjustable performance mode for grins.

I drove my friend's Cobalt SS Turbo last night and every single thing about that car is nicer than my Fit. I had a hard time adjusting back to our feather-light clutch and longer shifter travel. I like having my neck pushed into the headrest. I need boost

The Cobalt SS has gotten a lot of favorable press in comparison with more expensive performance cars that sell for a lot more than it..... Even with a good driving record and AARP insurance, I am not sure I would want to pay the insurance rates on a hot little performance car.

I am seriously thinking about getting the AT kit but would like to know some info.

With the AT kit what is the new 0-60 time and 1/4 mile times for the AT with the SC.

what exactly are your under-hood temps at WOT say from 2nd thru 3rd because i can say the temps get pretty f'in hot under there. I've hit 150 easy. That's with my header and down pipe wrapped. normal cruising on a 80 degree day is between 110-120. So the answer from my point of view is the fit could definately benefit from some form of cooling of the air charge. Next i am planning on getting a header blanket to see if that helps any. Plus that heat is also heating the oil in the pan. I'm pretty careful about not getting on it too much. Not that i need to now.
