I hit 5000 miles so I did an oil change, switched to 0w-30 and have to say the car is running smooth with less of an impact from the heat than there was before. Today was a good 90-95 degrees and the car felt much better than it has been the last few weeks. Most likely it's cause it's fresh oil but the 0w-30 is probably also helping things out once the car is taking a beating from the sun & operating temps. I'll post up my MPG after a couple tanks with this new oil and see if there's any significant differences.
0w30 is pretty light. Shoot, I don't think I have ever ran 0w30. That is the opposite of what you want to run in a CA summer.

This type of discussion should really be in another thread.

To try and get this back on topic...

Can you give use a ETA when the intercooler will be up for sale

also what kind of power gains should I be expecting form the injector up grade?

I don't have an ETA on the intercooler package. Once we have all the production pieces in stock and QC'd, they will start shipping.

The injector upgrade is not a power adder. The injector upgrade supports high-flow open exhaust systems. If you have a gain from the open exhaust, that is what you will see.

Passing power is MUCH improved over stock. Even going uphill with the AC on!

The Fit is a totally different animal with the KraftWerks kit installed. My commute is 120 miles roundtrip a day, I run my car HARD and have yet to experience any issues with my vehicle.

You're looking at:

$2995 for the kit + tax/shipping if applicable + installation (around $800 is what most people have reported from shops/mechanics).

So around $4000 total, or a little more if you're in CA.

I hope i can cacth when they have a sale again i think the lowest they've sold the kit was at $2799 at one point but it was only for like 2 weeks, i would def love to boost my AT but realistically this would be like at least a 2 yr plan, so i have a good amount to save up.

I got my car in July 2006 The KWSC this past April at $2799 and the installation was done for free because I work for free on the family fleet. I just passed 24000 miles.... I knew I was going to get one and started stashing away for it when I first read that Jackson Racing was going to make it.... I am going to have to trim my DYI polaski spring to see if it will increase pressure enough to help me stay off of the throttle.

Definitely install it yourself or have someone knowledgeable you know do it for free/cheap if you can... $800 isn't something to sneeze at of course

I've gone back and deleted most of my recent posts.

After having a great 2 days of driving with the KWSC even with the weather being 95 degrees during the day, I thought back and now admit that my bias against my car (not the kit) was shifting my frustrations over fuel economy to the kit, which is most likely just amplifying problem(s) I've already had with the car. The hot weather has been affecting me less than before with the fresh change of oil to 0w-30 and I have absolutely no problems with the kit, just with my car.

In any case, I apologize to everyone for throwing the discussion off track and making it seem like the KWSC kit was specifically giving me problems.

Now, back to the topic: ETA on intercooler and CARB plz

wow looking at it broken down like that shows its quite a bit of coin.

i pm'd ojr wondering if on a base intercooled a/t kit with headers and exhaust if 130whp would be possible.....if its not i dunno if i'm going to shell out the dough.

besides, by the time i can afford to save up that much, that money is better spend going towards the principle on the fits loan.
