I am sure AT kit owners can come on here and assure everyone that the AT Base kit is a great driving package, that really adds what the Fit AT needed.

I can definitely attest to that notion. The only reason I even got back into the tuning scene with the KW kit was because my Fit practically died on the hills going from LA to Vegas...and it was just my wife and I (no we're not fat@sses).
Before I had the Fit I owned a Ridgeline that did a great job even with it's undersized v6. Obviously switching from an RL to a Fit meant a great loss in torque, and that's exactly the thing I missed the most. Now with the base kit alone I've gained a 50% increase in torque...
Also I totally agree with Wave. My car doesn't get a second look for a reason - it's practically bone stock. But when I merge onto the freeway and floor the gas, other drivers do get caught off guard. People in SoCal know interstate 10 has a decent hill around the 57 interchange near CalPoly Pomona. Well even without building up at the base of it I was able to scream over 100 mph before the peak of the hill, even shocking a brand new Mustang GT along the way.
We all know this kit and any other mild build-up on the Fit doesn't compare to a good deal of the tuner cars out there. But for what it's worth, the KW kit provides some much needed power that this car has been needing right from the start.

Reason: I'm a grammar nazi
Everyone, there was no plan ever for highboost a/t -- as a long time thread lurker, I don't know where that idea came from. However, Hondata for a/t was fuzzy. Also, kits for 2009, I think JDM Chris mentioned that the under hood space was even less for 2009, and wasn't sure if KW would tackle that.

Dude I did that drive from the Bay Area, and I had my foot buried into the floor on those hills! That was a long drive.

That is the most annoying thing. In my sporty car, people make room for me. But in the VR6 Jetta, people don't realize it's a quick vehicle and often cut me off without looking it seems.
wave and usmc: thanks for the nice posts. suprising people and getting people to wonder why they can't shake that jelly bean shaped subcompact is exactly the kind of effect i'd like to make.
i don't want to show up at a meet and start talking about what other hondas i can take down, just want to show be different and have a car that doesn't feel overwhelmed all the time. in all honesty, if the car can feel like my wifey's 08 beetle (2900lbs, 170lb-ft tq) and build up speed just as effortless, even with people in the car, i'm game because thats all i want.
oscar: thanks for the clarifications. one question though...i remember with the old kit, the numbers jumped up significantly once the upgraded injectors were thrown into the mix, at least when compared to the base kit on stock injectors.
do you guys expect the same type of effect with the a/t kit?

i can't wait for the numbers when the high boost kit comes out and reflash with injectors. i can see this making 180hp (which is good enough for me)
see this what gets me.
kraftwerks had a BUILT l15 running high boost and it made over 190 whp, but they claimed it was not suited for daily driving.
we have yet to see what base kit+ injectors will look like, but i would imagine somewhere in the 140-150 range, with hondata slightly higher.
so basically that leaves a small window before it becomes 'undrivable' and it makes one wonder how much of an improvement the 10psi kit will be over the hondata.
unless ofcourse the jacksons are just being conservative, (as i believe they have a 'if its not stock-like/reliable, its not daily driveable' mentality, which i share.), and hence the original info with regards to their built fit.

Power output with boost is linear. I doubt it will make 160hp with the high boost kit.
you think so?
considering the old, less efficient kit with upgraded injectors made 140whp, you don't think that with 5 more psi of boost it will yield anymore? and thats before hondata, or taking into consideration what the newer kits power improvement carries...

I would stay away from power enterprise. On their Xb kits their customers were complaining of the SC,s seizing on them.... Why would they Seize? Because they mounted the Rotrex INCORRECTLY when they engineered their kit. If their engineering on all their products are like this then its a good idea to stay away.

BTW I believe the KWTA FIT IS OVER 200WHP now.
compare the mounting brakets on the rotrex kit from power enterprise to kraftwerks. exact same....i would buy from power enterprise before i would ever get ripped from krapwerks. power enterprise is on a whole different level from krapwerks....also the kit on my xb with 108k miles never had a problem. the kid who bought my xb is still driving it to this day without issue.
jeez a little harsh to call them krapwerks, don't you think? You don't own a KWSC, you've probably never seen/heard/experienced a KWSC, don't talk shit about it
