in my opinion, if you have tools and are are technically capable.....do the install yourself. when boosting a car, you may run into problems eventually and doing the install yourself with help you understand how everythign works and the layout of your engine.
it may take a little longer, but if you follow the instructions, it shouldnt be too difficult.
I payed $800 for the KWSC Kit a header and two dyno runs. Not ever one has the tools/time/space to do it there self. I only have one car and cant afford to have it down for to long. If I had a secondary car and the space I probable would have done the install my self, looking at the directions they look easy to fallow and understand.
Don't have the tools nor am I technically capable but I can rack in some serious overtime cash so that makes me pretty dangerous everytime payday comes around.
Mine is an A/T with the injector upgrade. My car is a daily driver of about 120 miles a day, no issues or problems so far but I am starting to get the itch for something a "bit more".
In no way am I complaining one bit about the KWSC as it makes a stock Fit very enjoyable and if this is as far as I can go with an AT Fit then so be it. It's still great!

Can anyone recommend a mechanic/shop that has already done a KW SC install on the Fit in socal (preferably with dyno tests available)? I'm about ready to plunk down some cash to get the SC but need to know where I can get the job done properly and within a day (so pretty much people who are familiar with this specific installation).
I recommend Mark Dibella over at MD Automotive. He's done at least 3 if I remember correctly, including mine. He's also close to you and has worked with the Jacksons forever.
Maybe I should pick up a tranny cooler and have that installed as well while I'm at it. I'm always stuck in traffic and it's started to get burning hot again.
