hahaha, yah, me neither. sometimes i wish there was a nitrous
button though.

not that i have a nitrous system installed... yet.

so im asking my wife to make me one of these, but with a FIT logo.

i want to cover my new steering wheel while parked out in the summer
sun.

if you guys are interested in buying the AutoSport one, it's on sale
over here. it just has a "look at me!" appearance so im not sure if i
want it.

Definetly a good concept. I dont have windsheild shades, because i dont like them. So yesterday afterwork the top of my steering wheel was about 100000 degrees, i was only able to touch the bottom half haha.

exactly! since my steering wheel is suede at the top it doesnt get hot but at the same time, im worried that it might fade.

i have some minor corrosion under the clearcoat on my DR21's lips from
the chicago winter's salt.

i think im going to sand and polish just the lip, mask, and apply a few
coats of clear this weekend. hope the weather holds up... might
do 2 this weekend and the other 2 next weekend.

no luck getting the wife to make the steering wheel cover for me over
the weekend...

she made some sketches and was measuring things
but she's just too busy with work and looking after our little kids.

so... i ended up ordering the autosport one for now. i think i'll show that
to her so she can copy the dimensions, etc and make a nicer looking one
down the road.

the corrosion on the DR21's weren't enough to really do much work on
them yet so skipped as well. perhaps next spring i'll just sand and
paint them another color.

so i got my tracking info from autosportcatalog but they shipped via
USPS.

now i wont see it until next week or next month or whenever
it arrives.

yay, i got the steering wheel cover today.

it's like a huge
shower cap.

pretty nice thick material. went over my MOMO perfectly.

gonna start using it tomorrow while parked at work.

hummm... these low offset wheels have been bugging me with
steering feedback. i can feel the wheels are beyond the
acceptable limits of the suspension geometry. i mean it still
drives fine but i can feel it torque steering each time i accelerate
hard and steering turned even a little.

i think it's time i should go back to stock wheels and run sticky
195/50/15 tires on them and even push-out the rears by 15mm.

front +55, rear +40... and even reconsider the progress rear
swaybars again given that the torque steer and this winding
feel are gone.

i think worst case run 15x6.5 with 45mm offset and 195/50/15
tires.

this morning I used a new product called Prima Amigo...actually, i started
using it last week but just to try it out in a small section.

it's a filler/cleaner that you use after clay and before wax. it evens out
any micromarring or hazing you might have and also hides light swirls.

if you have a dark car like me it's definitely worth a try. i recommend it.
it's easy to apply by hand or orbital. it dries quickly and you just remove
it with your MF towel. it cleans the surface so well that it looks like you
polished it.

Amigo is not a polish, it's a filler. then i followed with my favorite
wax called Griot's Best of Show. the wax itself makes dark colors
nice and deep, very rich, but with the Amigo the color is even darker
and looks even more enriched.

give it a shot especially if you dont have a random orbital buffer
to do any extensive polishing.
