I would imagine so, Bilstein knows what they're doing

Especially next to the Megan Racing/D2/K-Sports/etc., so prevalent on this site.

BTW, you never posted those Z/G pics!

added distilled water in the "maintenance free" battery... was near the minimum mark at 6yrs 47k miles. the blue/red indicator's blue is still blue, original battery.

had to ask my wife for a penny since i dont carry coins these days. hahaha

some folks were asking how i added the water to the battery. i always have distilled
water in a spray bottle as part of my detailing gear so i just streamed water in
there in a controlled manner since the battery in the fit is a quick and easy reach.
for batteries that are harder to reach, i use a tatoo squeeze bottle.

just shine a flash light into the hole until the indicator tabs that point down towards
the water barely make contact. you can tell by the angle of the flash light reflection
due to capillary action... or if you have any bubbles in there from you adding water,
the bubble will get attracted to the tab.

just be sure to clean the top of the battery before opening the 6 caps so that you
dont get any sand or grit in the water. i used RC car motor sprayto blast clean
the area before opening.

also wear disposable gloves and safety glasses/goggles. the water in the battery is very
acidic. it can bubble the surface of a stainless tool dish in a matter of 15-20 seconds.

..and as with all DIY, do at your own risk.

so after putting on the red center cap H decals my car is off balance in color. i need
more red on the car.

this member got his emblems to look real nice. might do the same... but i
hate plasti-shit in general... ive tried it a while back and the overspray is a
sticky mess that got on my other cars and tool cases in the garage.
it was a biotch to clean and wash the cars, rewax, etc.

usually rattle can overspray is just dust when the particles are away from
the object you're painting. not plasti-shitt. thing is sticky as hell...

i suppose i can do the work at the edge of my driveway with the garage
door closed, or close up next to my neighbor i dont like's car. haha

decided to use glossy red enamel to do the grill "H" background, will be getting automotive
grade red vinyl later in the week to make the rear emblem insert. the grill looks great.

i removed the grill on my '12 sport to paint, but when it was time to put the grill
back on the car, the center portion of the grill would just not slide all the way forward.
not sure wth is going on. the 4 small slide tabs are aligned, the center large tab is
also aligned..but the very bottom of the grill is not sliding onto the bumper correctly..
just binds.

its about 5mm shy vs where the grill should be on the front bumper. two of the
smaller side clips near the center are not locked as it should be. will take another
look at it this weekend, but for now i put all the tabs back on and the grill is secure.

k, weather's behaving today, so i think im going to re-attempt getting that grill to
go back in fully into the front bumper tonight.

i think i need to probably make a bevel on the lower clamp part of the grill where it holds the bumper and frame together. such a stupid design.

got the grill back in completely. i thought the clamp shaped portion of the grill at the very bottom
was to clamp the bumper and frame together, but no... i found that it only
clamps onto the bumper.

so when you're ready to slide the grill back into place, RAISE the grill upward WITH the
bumper, and slide it in. wtf...

on the '12 sport grill, the edges can get scuffed during removal/install rubbing up against
the head light. if this happens, use RC car motor spray to wipe down the area with
a paper towel. the solvent gently melts the surface of the grill plastic to make it nice
and black again.

those emblem inserts. oh well. i can make my own, pretty easy anyway.

will also check to see if i still have a can of glossy uv coating i used for carbon fiber parts in the past.
i want to uv coat the red paint behind the front emblems i did a few nights ago.

for some reason my droid's camera takes fuzzy picts these days unless im in the shade. i thought it was
just the lens, but no... seems like moisture got inside the camera and maybe fogged it up?

finished the red emblem vinyl inserts today. turned out great. the material is thinner than e-tape and more flexible so it's almost like plasti-shitt without the overspray and masking. i just placed a generic size over the emblem background, used my squeegee to shape, then cut.

too bad my camera's not working real well...

rainy day = my hobby cars stay inside, drive my '12 more. had to run a few errands
this am and had a good time driving.

mang, wish it had another 50hp... just a tad more to make it feel spirited for weekend
fun double duty.

not a good pict but here's the front. the hood is not chipped at the tip, it's
from the camera flash. i used red gloss enamel and applied using a brush. by applying
heat i was able to achieve the real smooth resin like look. no need to
remove the emblem either.

here's the rear vinyl insert i cut out of generic automotive glossy red vinyl.
i cut 4 pieces of vinyl in a general size, and then squeegeed the vinyl into position.
then used a sharp blade to trim off. it took a few tries at first to get to know the
vinyl's characteristic, but i got the hang of it. this is obviously a dry install.

honestly im really not into these things (im too old) but my kids like it a lot.
the only reason i did it was because i made the mistake of buying bright red
honda "H" decals for my wheels and the car was betting for more red.

first unofficial Fall work day...

not looking forward to the dew in the morning on my front side windows preventing me from seeing the side mirrors...
wish our cars came with heated side mirrors... should be an option.

drumsauce posted:

1. unplug the OEM throttle harness from the throttle pedal
2. connect the ETC cable the OEM harness and to the throttle pedal (obvious when you see the connectors)
3. connect the OBDII connector to the OBDII port.
4. connect the ETC cable to the memory box (i think that is what it is called)
5. hide wires, used double sided tape to secure the memory box, and display unit
6. go through set up (in directions)
DONE!

so guess not... just plug and fire up.
