I still have to fully resolve- woot- I am not comfortable with it yet to post a description heehee pwnd- < I am pretty sure it means the same as "owned" but I can't for the life of me figure out the "p" part. A student of mine once said it was a typo long ago, but I did not understand what she meant.
I guess I will just look it up.

pwnd: A corruption of the word "Owned." This originated in an online game called Warcraft, where a map designer misspelled "owned." When the computer beat a player, it was supposed to say, so-and-so "has been owned."
Instead, it said, so-and-so "has been pwned."
Here's a more expanded definition of the two spellings of Noob:
Contrary to the belief of many, a noob and a newbie are not the same thing. Newbs are those who are new to some task* and are very beginner at it, possibly a little overconfident about it, but they are willing to learn and fix their errors to move out of that stage. Noobs, on the other hand, know little and have no will to learn any more. They expect people to do the work for them and then expect to get praised about it, and make up a unique species of their own. It is the latter we will study in this guide so that the reader is prepared to encounter them in the wild if needed.
I love Urban Dictionary.
