Official FIT LINGO

Thank you bigtoepfer and many others for the FF lingo. You guys could have been code talkers during WW1. Navajo's and their language saved our country big time and when all was done were sent back to the res with nothing except their pride. thanks Code talkers.

Good list -- very helpful. Here are some additional, older web forum abbreviations that are still in use:
AFAIK = As Far As I Know
OTOH = On The Other Hand
HSAT = Having Said All That,
BTW = By The Way,
ttt = To The Top (same meaning as "Bump")
BRB = Be Right Back (only useful in chats)
AFK = Away From Keyboard (same meaning as BRB)
IMESHO = In My Ever So Humble Opinion (for occasions where IMHO just isn't pretentious enough)
ROFLMAOWTIME = Rolling On the Floor Laughing My Ass Off With Tears In My Eyes
Also, just to be grammatically technical for a bit, abbreviations such as these must be pronounceable as a word in order to be an acronym. For example, LOL, IIRC and FTW are initialisms, not acronyms. Examples of proper acronyms include NASA, FUBAR, SCUBA, RAM, and RAID. In practice, though, nobody really cares except other grammar/spelling geeks. ;-)

Hi there
I'm new to this forum, & I just wanted to say this post has helped me understand car talk a wee bit more.
And I wanted to add that bump stands for Bring Up My Post But you guys basically got what it means haha.

I came looking for what I. C. E. stands for. There is a "Fit I. C. E." forum as well as sub-forums but now I see it in the subtitle: In Car Electronics.

Club Racer
I like Commute Racer, not that I would do anything foolish in rush hour traffic, just trying to keep up with the Audi's and Boomer' s.
