new guy about to buy a Fit sport. what questions should I ask the owner?

Hey y'all. My name is Kim. I'm a guy.... I'm planning on purchasing a 07 Fit Sport next weekend. I've been reading a lot on these forums lately... Anyways I got the CARFAX on the car I want, and everything seems to check out. It has 33k miles on it. Are there any questions I should be asking? This is my first vehicle purchase EVER. I currently drive a beat up 2000 Chevy Prizm and am very much looking forward to this upgrade. Every other car I've had was a hand me down or purchased by my parents for me... Thanks in advance.

well know this, as far as maintence goes, your scheldule maintence isnt until 100k miles as long as you follow the manual's recomended oil change, tire rotations, etc. :] hope you become a fit freak!

from wat ive read here (people with high milage Fit's) this car is quite reliable so i guess ask them if those were hwy miles or local. pretend you prefer local miles while it's better to have more hwy miles. hahaha.

Do you have anyone who works on car to check it over? Are you buying from a dealership or an individual? I own a 2007 Honda Fit Sport and it has been great - no problems but then again I only have 12,000 miles on
the car. Really those miles on a 2007 it is just now getting broken in. I would still have some independant mechanic look it over for any problems and then make that purchase. Post up some pictures when you get your Fit.

I'm taking it to a dealership and getting it checked out by the service department. Does $11500 sound about right for a 07 Fit Sport with 33000 miles?

I think you can haggle to $10K unless its carmax or something where they set the price like at the supermarket yet don't get the "buy one get one free" sale...
