Interior dimensions for cargo area

Hi all. I *just* learned about the Fit today and it looks like it's going to be my next car. Apparently, I live on another planet because I've not heard of them or I would have stopped looking at Golf TDIs months ago!

The cargo space is impressive for such a small car. I'm downsizing from an Explorer so space is precious to me.

Anyway, there are NO Fits in my city to look at, nor do any of the dealerships have the cargo dimensions I need to see if my required stuff (dog crates) will fit. I've searched everywhere and can't find information. Even called Honda and they couldn't tell me either.

Does anyone know the measurements of the cargo area (seats down) from the rear to the front seats, width, and height to roof? Or where I can find them? Also, I can't find the ground clearance difference between the base and sport models. (My work takes me to some bumpy areas sometimes.)

Thanks!

Kathy

PS Is the top flat enough for a roof rack? thx

I'm not sure if this answers your question. From the home page of Honda
showing their fur kids.

Do a search in the forum, it would answer your questions (and any other questions you might have).

To answer the 2nd, yes, it can, one member has done it.

Thumbs up Thanks!

That webpage gave me exactly what I needed to know -- thank you!

The good news is I ordered one today.

The bad news is it won't be delivered until November.

Sigh.

Well, it will be an early Xmas present to myself. (Maybe the payments can start AFTER the first of the year....)

Thanks again,

Kathy

That should answer anyone's question about cargo space LOL
