Lightbulb DIY - deleted antenna.

figured id throw up a little post for this,
i cant be the only one who likes this.
i did this the other day while i had the headliner out for wrapping.
you can do it with the headliner still.

they sell them at lowes - they are in the hardware section, in the drawers.
they are called nylon hole caps. they are like a buck each, comes in a 2 pk
you need 2:
1 - 1/4 inch
1 - 9/16 inch
and some silicone sealer.

just one bolt, plug and caulk.

i hid the electronics in the Dpillar, theres a bit of room for the little box to chill out

granted you WILL LOOSE reception,
you can still listen to the radio, its works, just not as well.
i can care less about the radio its ipod 100% of the time in my car, so it doenst matter to me,
if you like the radio get creative with your mod.
play around with the placement while the radio is on, youll see that a slight change of angle will give you ZERO signal, or great signal/
either way the outcome is the same.
no more bump above your trunk.

heres some pics of the outside.

only thing that might suck is if your car isnt black
but then again- you already got screwed once hehe
nah, they come in white as well, you can paint them im sure,
but i would rock the black on any color
and ya i had silicone laying around - i use that stuff on EVERYTHING hha
its like my duct tape
and about 3 dollars for the caps.
jews rejoice lmao

hah, funny you mentioned getting antennas stolen.
thats what happened to my car a few months back.
so i used one of those plugs to plug up the hole for the screw part.
it was kinda cool looking, just a little fin..
but its just better now
