Anyone know how to install aftermarket speakers with an amp?

So i recently have purchased some 6-1/2" Alpine Type S components to replace my front two speakers, and 5-1/4' Alpine Type R's for the back two, but have no idea how to go about this job or what to do about the factory mounting brackets. I want to do the job myself, about 6 months ago i installed a Pioneer Premier head unit, an alpine V-Power 450W mono amp, and a kicker L5. I have another Alpine V-Power 4 channel amp for the speakers, a rockford fosgate farad capacitor, and speaker wires. has anyone done this job themselves and have any tips/things to watch out for/ or even how to go about this at all?

I've never done this job myself, but if it is the 1st gen, the right way is to take off the whole door panels. I know there are a lot of guides in the I.C.E forums, so look there and see if you find any!

Hope this helps,

If you already have changed out the head unit, the speaker swap out should be gravy! Really crappy 6.5" speakers in each door. Just a couple of easy screws on the panels and a bit of trickiness with some clips and the door panels come right off. You have to make an "adaptor" of sorts to make up for the goofy factory sized speakers that you will be happily throwing away. I just used some rubber gasket material that I already had. Have fun!
