But Ben @ eDuh is a POS. Tried to sue Tang Band because the design of the SQ10 was exactly the same as one of their subs. Problem is, Tang Band is the OEM, and it was their design.

Moral of the story, don't support eDuh.

meh i support them 100%.

he can do whatever he wants...but as long as i think im getting quality products for my buck then im fine.

i couldnt be anymore happier with the amps that i get from him.

dont get me wrong, im not trying to argue or nothing since your here to give advice. im just stating from my experience, customer service is great, products get here on time.

may not be the BEST but it sure is better then average. and cant go wrong with the prices either.

really? man i didnt even wait. when i heard they were released i just placed an order. most of my car audio is from them, so maybe that could be a reason. and ive order thousands of dollors through them for others but under my account.

i sold them long ago though, it just wasnt for me. i was waiting for the 13av to come out, and my cousin just recieved one.

i personally think it will give a w7 a run. but we shall see when i install it in my car.

man take a look at the picture. that thing is huge.

it was heavier that my 18" sub( i just bought it because i want to see what it would sound like in an integra) but got rid of it because it wasn't responsive which we already know...but i just wanted to say i owned one at one point in time.

but im not saying heavier is better. i think the quality is pretty good.
i cant wait to show pictures when i get it installed. i think the box is going to be nice and huge. 2.75 cubes, not sure if im going to stay with the sealed or go vented.

maybe just do both to try it out. i got a good hook at home depot for wood. i get a whole sheet for 51 cents, and i just get them to cut it. i just have to glue and nail it together.

huh?

This whole post confused me.

The mag ( bigger one ) is only like 6" deep and weights like 15lbs iirc
It will take a 1 cube sealed box, and is designed just for that, you don't have to use a ported box to compensate for lack of low end output, as the driver was designed to work best in the sealed box.

I dont know for you, but weight is my enemy. With a 30-40 lb sub + 30-40lb box + extra electrical to support the higher power requierments its sure to rob some gas mileage and make the car ride worse......

Thats one of the many reasons I think these drivers are perfect for the fit....

Reading up on all the info availale, I've come to 3 conclusions

1: XBL2 seems great, but BL curve is only one of many many factors that determine the quality of output.

2: There's no production model as of yet. In general production models aren't are cleanly done as prototypes(clean glue, perfect cone/spider alignment). SO Wait for a generic production model before writing reviews.

3: Is that you clearly have some other interest in this company and are not just offering up an objective review. I'm going to have to duble check the forums rules on this, I believe we hae forum sponsors for advertizing reasons.

So in lieu of what was said above. Thus far, looks like another intarweb good performing product. However as my personal dealings have gone with internet based speakers manufacturers is that service generally get left far behind sales (I did specify "in general").

And as an unrelated note concerning Elemental Designs. I've sen and heard far more bad about them than good. If you want a good laugh check out Bassworx amplifiers

Your right the xbl^2 topology is just part of a combination for a good sounding driver.

The drivers you see in the pictures are of production drivers.

The driver I tested was a production model, just didnt have the correct basket powdercoating. And in contrast the production models I have always recieved have always been better than protos as they protos are normally hand built instead of using the tooling/machinery on the assembly line... The owner of the company is so OCD about the mag that he wouldnt allow anything out of spec to escape

Your personal dealings may lead you one way, but this is by far not the first subwoofer manufactured by Stereo Integrity. They have somewhat of a cult following on the largest car audio forum on the net. Car Audio Forum - CarAudio.com

I am posting the review here just like I did on 5 other forums, I'm not trying to sell the drivers as they will be sold direct through the company website and nothing to do with me. If you would rather me not open my mouth and the members of the forum not take advantage of my experience in this area, too bad, I'm here to help and like I said in my first post here I want to help members get the best value for there dollar on stereo.

There is more to the world than JL audio, and SI proves that....

I wasn't meaning to bash in the least bit and if it came off that way I apologize. I like to provide a "reality check" on reviews with overly optimistic information, so as to allow other members (customers) to shop around and make a more informed/educated decision on their purchases regarding audio.

I'm much more install/tuning oriented than "magical products". I'm sure SI makes a good solid performing product. Even at that I take it u[on myself to always to try and get people to get more educated on things and really shop around before buying.

Any future reviews by you on other products will always be welcomed and appreciated.

Cheers
Donald

yeah, sorry misunderstanding there.
i was describing the 13av sub that they have. not the sq10.

Just a little fyi to those of you interested in these, the mag should be here in a couple weeks as production just finished on it and it is shipping now. After it passes the QC check at Si headquarters in NC it will be ready to go.

I think I'm going to try and do a fiberglass install in my spare tire well and see how it goes. If it turns out nice I may be able to make some for the rest of you, what ya think?

oh yea here is some more production pictures of the smaller one.

ignore the goofy looking half naked guy as he is a friend of mine from another forum who also got to do a review on the smaller driver lol

You guys may have seen the owner of the company lurking over here because I told him I posted the review here too.

I gotta say my Infinity Basslink is far better than I had expected, is not heavy at all, and with the sub and amp in one small enclosure its perfect for the Fit. And at $185 shipped to me it was a deal I couldn't pass up.

yes if you need the room then that lil sub might bring some bass into the picture. but if you want real sound and crystal clear bass then nothing in the world beats a JL W7 powered by a matched JL 500 mono block in a sealed box imo.....

After hearing the w7 side by side with an number of other drivers in a blind test I prefer the w6 to the hollow sound to the w7 and the old si mag to both.

but to each his own.

You need substantial midbass reinforcement to keep up with the W7. That's where a lot of the difference is.

Well, JL has given other companies something to shoot for. As for the W7, they started working on it in 1992, shipped it around 2000. Here we are 8 years later and this company your plugging has just discovered BL factor. Cool beans.

Testing a Mag in an old E class isn't quiet like hearing a sub in a hatchback.

Well I haven't been on here for a while, but I thought I would update this post with my mag that just came in. They have had 1-2 batches in already and sold them out with great success. I just now decided to order mine to install over the winter when I have time to glass an enclosure in the spare tire well.

Here are some pics that show mounting depth is less than that of a pop can .
