USA Spec Ipod Interface - Fit all years? (excuse the pun)

Hey guys,

Just wondering if the USA SPEC ipod interface will work with all year models of the FIT? Ive got an 04, but the website only says 06/07 and up. Anyone with a pre 06/07 model tried, or own a USA SPEC interface in their FITS?

I can only confirm GD3 fitment. GD1 and GD2's have different wiring so proably will not work.
