powered sub in read hatch...

i want add more bass to my stereo but i have to much equipment to haul around when i play out in my band, i dont want to have to keep taking out the sub all the time.... i was wondering if mountin a thin sub in the rear hatch was a bad idea, if it would rattle to much, or sound crappy, i want a little more bass, tight thump, nothing more any suggestions??? this site is the best... ! *rear hatch...

This weekend I'm going to be installing my amplifer and 6.5" subwoofers that will be in the back doors. I move a lot of stuff in my car so I don't want to lose any functionality of the Fit or have to take out a subwoofer if I'm going to load something extra big into my car.

Pioneer made a thin 8" sub a few years back. I'm sure they still have something similar. still provided very good bass, but I dunno, I think the rattling could get out of hand!

in the hatch..no.. you'll need to fabricate a solid baffle for the sub and sound deadening the bajesus out of the hatch. It'll add a good 25lbs then your hatch won't hold up.

Just buy a small amp (50Wrmsx2) and a pair of Focal 165KF components for the front..you'll think you have sbs i the doors.
