HELP How Do I Adjust My Fogs Properly???

Had someone who I thought new what they were doing help me install some fog light vinyl, well 2 of the main screws on the right are now stripped and i have no film on, not to mention that after countless times of telling him not to play with the adjustment spring, he insisted that he knew what he was doing and could properly adjust them back, finally I said enough and he "adjusted" them properly and now one light appears to shine higher and wider than the other when the lights are on.

I took the plunge and ordered some PIAA bulbs

I will deal with vinyl maybe further down the line...

so when i go to install the bulbs how do I go about adjusting the lights properly or is it a trial error deal.
