Plug and play kits are NOT REAL HID'S. All those kits are is the bulbs and ballasts of a REAL HID SYSTEM. A real HID system needs a projector to properly focus that extra light that the xenon bulb provides. Without a projector the light will be scattered, it will aim towards the sky and not on the ground. The beam pattern will be extremely narrow and blinding to oncoming drivers. Light is not light, there is more to it. But just because the bulb is brighter people will assume that the mirrors on the OEM headlights can properly handle all that extra light. Anybody that wants to know the truth can simply do their own research and learn some valuable information. HID kits are the new underbody neons. Very poorly executed and tasteless modification.
Yeah that pretty much sums it up. If you plan on putting HID's in your fit, get a retrofit for your housing or buy projectors from a different car.

If you want white bulbs that put out a ton of light, get the Philips X-Treme Power H4 bulb from the UK. They put out a LOT of light. And it's white. When they went into J's Fit, the difference over OEM was instantly apparent.

The bulbs themselves are clear. They make more light because they're better-engineered, not because they filter out all the other spectra.

Google these bulbs, you'll find I'm right.

Life is better than SS. Many folks say 2 years with average use. However, it's still shorter than OEM since you can either have long bulb life or lots of light. Your choice.

Black3sr isn't going to drop in an HID kit so that's a win.
