I wonder how smoked would look =) I like the color of the foglights cuz they match my SSM and already have yellow bulbs in there. I guess I might have to give it a try. XPEL on their website doesn't have fog light alone so I guess I might have to just call.

Cost for X-Pel Protective film : 4x10 = $10.50 shipped.
Time spent on installation: about 20 min
having better protection for flying rocks...priceless ^^

Well, there is an arguement as to yes and no.

Having owned French spec cars with yellow headlights and assorted cars with yellow fogs, in bad weather there "is" a difference to the human eye.

The film would do a better job of protecting it from rocks, etc. than the paint, right? I've been thinking about doing this...

Of course..i too was thinking to paint them then ... it is not just for "looks" but for "protection" as well..

also.. it is "quicker" to use flim than painting since there is no "wait" time.. ^^

DO it now.!!! when i took out fogs and cleaned them up with water/alchol.. i "already" found lots of scars/chips on fogs... they take abuse "every day"..

Stock H11 bulbs or higher wattage or H9?

There are some posts on other forums (Ford) about problems with the film breaking down.

What about the guys with the stained glass paint?

For those that painted their lenses, how is the stained glass paint holding up over time as far as heat and wear?

I painted mine and have had no problems with smoking lenses. The paint is holding up nicely as far as i can see.

Where to buy yellow pre-cut Lamin-X fog film?

Everyone says to buy the pre-cut.

No one tells me where to buy it. Please tell me

JonasM has a spectacular aura aboutJonasM has a spectacular aura about
I ordered mine directly from the manufacturer:

Lamin-x.com - Protective Films

$21.90 shipped for 2 pieces of yellow film. It turned out, with careful cutting, that I have enough for 2 sets of fogs, so I have some to spare in case I need a replacement.

If you can get pre-cut for the same price, then no big deal either way. Since the fogs are so easy to remove for fitting, cutting your own is very easy.
