headlight restoration....
I hit a deer last year, and part of the destroyed body on the Fit was the drivers side headlight. The body shop replaced it with a Depo housing which looks great, but 156,000 highway miles have taken their toll on the other housing and it looks terrible. I was thinking of trying one of the headlight restoration kits i see available, but is it basically just wet sanding the lens with 2000-3000 grit and then polishing? I have the old headlight housing I hit the deer with to practice on.....any thoughts or experience with this? Thanks guys and gals.

just did mine over the weekend.. yes its basically fine grit sand paper and polish to finish.
However, I went ahead and purchased the Turtlewax headlight restoration kit (was on sale). my review? works fine but sanding pad could be bigger... they were probably only 1.5" square... was annoying as it kept slipping and falling to the ground.. had to wash the pad everytime it fell.
