Shift knob questoin: "universal fit"

What does this mean? More importantly, would knobs with universal fit fit in the fit (that was a mouthful)? Is it like a big screw, but with a "clamp" that allows it to tighten to fit over any screw?

stay away from these! u won't like it. Get a knob that fits honda's and u'll be much more happier, plus there is a HUGE selection. but for ur information, a universal fit comes with these plastic "adapters" basically u take these adapters (whichever one fits ur shifter thickness) and u got to tighten that onto ur shifter's threads. basically make a thread for these plastic things. After u got it on, u take the shifter and place it over the plastic and tighten it via the 2 or 3 allen screws on the side of the shifter. These are known to twist or come loose while shifting. It happened while i was driving my mom's camry...... not a pretty sight lol.

shift knob thread size??

does anyone know what the thread is on the MT shift knob?? I found these awesome glass shift knobs but they're 5/16" fine thread. So I don't know if I'm lucky and that size will fit or if I have to rig something together

I think everyone said it best. Getting universal fit stuff isn't that great on any car. So many companies out there, no reason not to get one made for a Honda.
