anyone ever use this website? Its called Snaptint
2008 Honda Fit Window Tint
Just wondering if there stuff is good?

Also the lowest legal in main must allow 50% light to pass through, which is LAME, will it look stupid? I'm wondering if i can get by with 35% on the rear windows because right now my car has tint that looks a lot darker than 50%.. but i dont know, can anyone tell from this pic?

Loving my windshield Tint!

Man! I'm LOVING 35% windshield tint!!!

In New Mexico, police are very lax when it comes to tint. Most highway patrol are tinted, and I've NEVER heard of anyone getting hassled for any reason tint related.

I decided to go with 35% (any darker and IMO it would be way too obvious). I'll tell ya' getting in the vehicle on a bright sunny day I find I don't need sunglasses at all. It's like wearing them already while in the car. Night driving is just fine as long as the glass is clean.

I really don't plan on taking the car out of the state (I've got other rides for that), and if I do get popped I'm only out $90.

If you can get away with it I completely recommend it!

I had 3M fitted, but I notice some very faint 3M logos on the film. Any ideas on how to safely wipe these off. Maybe nail varnish remover or something.

Alcohol will take the 3M logo off the tint.

Anyone notice a crease-like bubble running the inside length of the edges where the raised black parts are? Also occurs on the defogger heat strips running across the back. Is this normal? Sorry about the poor description, don't know how else to put it. I can take pictures if anyone doesn't understand.

Will door visors pose an issue when getting tinted? Will I (or they) have to remove them first?

buying an 09 Fit, need advice about window tint (BC Canada)

Our Fit is coming soon (apparently the factory doesn't tint Fit's?) and we are thinking that it might be a good thing for security and for heat issues for our dog to have the tinting done aftermarket. Have never had tinted windows before.

What is the legal max in B.C. for rear windows/front windows?

Any suggestions on type to get and where, how much would be a fair ballpark price for each or both?

I am a newbie so bear with me if answers are posted somewhere else and I missed them.

I paid $212 including tax, for 35% behind the B-Pillar. They used 3M rubberized film, and I have a lifetime warranty against bubbles, fading, cracking, etc.

That tint has a VERY high reflectance, almost to the point of being a mirror tint. Looks great on that SSM, but you might run into problems with law enforcement, unless somehow, it has an actual VLR (Visible Light Reflectance) of 20% or less. That would be the limit of almost every state.

It's possible that just from this angle, and if it was a cloudy day, it just looks like it's close to mirror tint, and really it's not. And optical delusion.

No thats definitly a mirrored type of tint. Pretty much illegal in most states. Even tho its 35%. I don't know anything about Hawaii's laws on that stuff tho. Or on anything for that matter. LMAO

Very interesting.... I went back to my first post, and re-read the laws for each state, and would you believe it, Hawaii is one of the very few states that does not have a regulation on VLR!?!

So mirror tint is legal in Hawaii. Wow.

As I said, looks great on the SSM Fit!

Visor before or after tint?

New Fit owner here looking to add a tint. I have Mugen window visors in the mail that should be here real soon. I see someone asked if the visors would be an issue, and the reply that they won't. Since I have a choice should I put the visors on first or have the car tinted first? Or doesn't matter at all? I read in the very helpful original post that I will need the windows up for a week after tinting so I would prefer to put the visors on first.

Really enjoying my Fit so far and glad to have found FitFreak.net. VBP FTW.
