Rear 12v outlet

I'm wondering if there's an easy way to wire a 12v outlet in the rear end of the car, in the cargo space.

I have an 09 sport, and I'm going camping in a few weeks here, and I was hoping to bring along our electric grill to save on the carbon emissions. Just for convenience, I was thinking about putting in a 12v outlet in the rear end of the car, so I can plug an inverter in there and plug the grill into the inverter.

Have any of you ever put an outlet in the rear end, or better yet, have any of you installed a permanent inverter so you can have a regular 120w outlet in your car?

ummmm... you say GRILL. how many watts are you planning to pull? your Fit's battery is small and you'll probably end up draining it leaving you stranded in the camp grounds with
bears and lions. not sure if that's wat you want to do...

bring a mini charcoal grill or a bottled gas grill. iwatani FTW!

probably too late to care, and i do agree with drained battery issues... but all you need to do is splice some wiring that leads to the stock 12v outlet in the front of the car, and run it to another outlet in the back of the car (you can pick one up at any auto store, or the automotive section of a farm and fleet, fleet farm, walmart etc. for around $4)

Don't pay more than that. I just got 3 sets of dual 12v sockets at farm and fleet last week for doing some custom dashwork for friends.

it's very simple really, but the 12v only receives power when you turn the ignition, or turn on the car.

hope that's clear enough
