Fit radio code

Fit radio code
Hey folks, I recently bought an used Fit in El Salvador. This car was originally bought in the USA, was involved in a collision and bought through an auction and sent over here to be repaired. this is common practice here in El Salvador, due to the high prices for newcars.
I have a problem with this car, the battery was removed and now the radio is asking for the code. no manual came with the car nor was I able to find any sticker with the code written on it. I asked a Honda dealer here but they claim that since it was not bought through them, they can't help with the code.
I tried Honda's website, but I have no idea about the original owner's information they ask.
Is anyone here working at a dealer or could help me get the code for this radio? I would greatly appreciate it, as driving with no music is like sex with a condom.... you still enjoy it but it just not the same

Thanks.

Sit in the driver's seat, open the glove box door and look on the (left/facing you) side of the glove box for a sticker with a 5-digit number on top and a longer code below it.
That 5-digit code is to unlock the factory head unit. Presuming that the original head unit and glove box is still in your Fit.

As an ex Honda service writer, any service writer will be happy to help you get your code, presuming you show up at the dealership with the car, otherwise it is just someone with a stolen head unit/car looking to make it work again. I have not looked at my fit for the code, but yes the code should be in one of the glove boxes in most models past uhhh....98?

And got the "enter code" (Battery was disconnected) After reading this thread and seeing that it wants a 5 digit code, I remembered seeing a sticker inside the rear hatch. It had the needed code! yehaw! thanks!
