Zeta Satin Dash Trim

Hey all!

I posted this in Zeta's thread for the trim, but figured I'd post it here, too, so folks could see the pics.

Today I received and installed the Zeta Satin Dash Kit, and let me tell ya... it looks great! The silver (satin?) they used isn't an exact match to the silver in the interior, but once everything is installed you can't tell the difference.

I didn't bother cleaning the areas where I attached the kit since I barely have 1000 miles on the Fit, but I'd highly recommend you clean the surface before installationwith a damp cloth if there is any gunk on yours.

The pieces came in a single box, and the items came sealed in a separate bag to protect them. The door pull trim came two to a bag. Each piece is nicely-painted plastic, with 3M double-sided foam tape on the back. The paint used looks very high quality, and the clear-coat is even.

Trim and 3M tape

The hardest part of the installation was removing each piece of red backing to expose the 3M tape! Probably took me five minutes per piece Thanksfully, if you need to pull a trim piece off and reposition it, the 3M material is very forgiving.

Instrument Trim

I installed the instrument trim piece first, and it fits really nicely from front to back, and leaves just a bit of space on each end, which isn't too noticable. Once installed, it looks great!

HVAC Trim

Next I installed the HVAC trim. It went on the easiest of all the pieces, and looks like it belongs there. The only issue I saw with it was that some of the edges were slightly rough. This is just me being picky, and no one else will notice it... heck, I didn't even notice it once I sat in the drivers seat!

(yes, that is a llama in the pics... my wife wanted to get the car its own llama, since they use them in the literature )

Door Pull Trim

The last pieces to install were the door pull trim pieces, and these are GREAT! I think they really make the interior look more upscale, and helps connect the back and front of the car visually.

Conclusion

I am REALLY happy with the trim kit! Good job Zeta!! The best part is, these will look good on ANY color

Here are a few more pics (and yup, that's a Zeta folding armrest in the pic below!):

It's my miniature guard llama. Works better than any security system.

I did a similar thing but just got some paint matched up and painted the inside trim my self.

Car is inside at the moment, not enough light to get a good pic, post some up later.

Ahh dangit, I already scratched the paint off of one of the rear handle covers. I was hauling an office chair for by brother and it banged against it hard

Not a very good pciture but it gives you the idea. Took out the electric window switches and aerosoled the trims. My neighbour is an auto paint shop and we custom matched up some colour. Not bad result, looks stock!
