What happens to the old L15 motors?
When people do swaps, what do people do with their motors?
has anyone swapped or replaced their AT motors?
I've been looking around for motors, and wanting to spend at most 1,500$ for the paddles, ECU, engine/tranny... is that worth it?
gosh, jolly, darnit =P
oh Palin~
Thanks for any info...

I would buy one and throw it on my go-cart. IF it was cheap like $400. If not i would just go with a b series.

A lot of the times, when people want a new motor, they trade in their "core" motor at the time of purchase for some money back. At least that's from my experience.

i am actually doin a project right now. i have an IDSI 1.3 slightly modded engine with a CVT tranny dat i have just replaced with a JDM L1.5 vtec engine slightly modded with PnP and larger Throttle body and Manual transmission. So my AT engine is just layin around at my buddy's garage.
i will be postin up on the forums about my project. soon!!

I have access to a go-kart in Illinois (where I'm moving to real soon) and was looking for an engine to play with, the AT would be perfect, it's somewhat easy to handle, no extra pulleys to mess with on the 5sp, and such.
I'm just itching to work on something when I get to IL.
grr

you'll need a complete L15 with harness and ECU and a guage cluster and key ring. not worth it for a go-cart at all.

Very true, then I guess a D series motor will just do.
I can get access to one easily.
