First Fit in USA w HID retrofit!

I'm pretty sure or at least on FitFreak to have a real projectors retrofitted in a Fit in the US, right?

anyways they're bmw 3 series projectors w 5000k bulbs. there a huge shroud over the projectors from a 7 series and I had my buddy paint the entire housing. It was BOM before. The top parking lights are tinted and so are the side reflectors. I LOVE them!

here's a vid.

here's pics. sorry i'm not a pro at this.

Wow, that looks real good. Did he just spray paint the inside of the housing? Can we get some day shots of the headlight? Thanks. Tell your buddy he did a good job.

yeah he sprayed it semi gloss black. i picked up these headlights in BOM and told him to paint it all black. took him 8 hours to do the painting due to sanding, mounting , etc...

I'll take some after i wash the car. it's filthy.

yeah the dog is a character. she did that pose in another group photo.

i think he did a how to in the titan forums, i'm sure it's the same thing. the hardest part is opening up the housing.

i'll look for it.

Very Nice. Great to see a proper retrofit on the Fit at last. (not counting the Q45 one).

If I was going to go through the trouble of the retrofit, and since the Fit's stock reflector is so large (you know this as well, that's why you used the 7-series shroud), why didn't you just go with the 7-series bi-xenons to begin with? We used these on my friend's retrofit on his Gen5 Prelude and they're awesome.

But then, they're quite costly I suppose.

Anyways, nice work.

With the retrofits, do we still use our current aftermarket HIDs, or do we have to go with the D2 bulbs?

Right now I have high/low beams. I want to keep my high/low beams. So with the retrofit, I guess it's a possibility we can just use the projector glass itself and still use our reflector for highbeams?

there was no plan to use these shrouds until I saw some work in progress and didnt like them. in actuality i was going to use 5 series shrouds but these all of a sudden came up. They're harder to come by.
