Seriously I tried lifting the vinyl with a phillips flat head and it didnt even budge. I will try water when I get home.

Has anyone tried reheating it? This way the adhesive can melt agian.

You can try it. I know it sounds silly but i filled my sink up with water and dunked just the glass in the water and let it sit for a few minutes and then used a razor blade with more water to pretty much cut and pull it off. My first lamin-x was only installed for a month or so and didnt really get a chance to bake on. Maybe that had something to do with it. I had to clean the hell out of the glass tho cause it was covered in adhesive. That was a big pain. I would be carefull using a screwdriver cause you could scratch the glass itself. I used a lot of caution with the razor so i didnt scratch it. Hope that helps.

i just removed my lamin-x super easy.


i just pulled it right off. took a little effort but so simple.


THEN to get all that residue off, you take a razor blade and you just etch it off. super simple, then use a scrub pad and some soapy water to get it nice and clean.


i just transfered over to the blue batmobile tint because my lamin-x burnt(had a black and brown spot in the middle of it)

i like this stuff better, the tint... its WAY cheaper and it has a darker look to it.

unfortunately it doesn't protect my fogs as well as the lamin-x does.

WOW! how retarded... I went to the X-Pel site to order a bulk sheet of yellow 30mil film, a 10" x 10" sheet was $13.. not bad.. then while I was completing the checkout.. the shipping was $45!?!?! wtf?

$58 dollars for a 10"x10" sheet worth $13?

Yeah, you can always get just the sheets from Bluebatmobile. Personally, I felt I'd pay a little more and not have to cut them myself.

How long have you had the stain glass paint on. I have used that before for house windows. Requires a primer too. any cracking. I think that would happen with all the heat.

i would have paid more to have andy give me a bigger sheet for the fogs. i like to wrap it all. instead of having some spots. even though the foglight covers cover it....but i know its not completely covered and it bugs me.

the only reason why i would say go with lamin-x over bluebatmobiles is because it will ACTUALLY protect your foglights.

andys is just for looks, but they havnt burnt on me yet.
but my lamin-x film took about 8 months to burn so i dont know.

both products put out the yellow look. but lamin-x is thicker so it i will prevent your fogs from cracking if a small rock hits it.

Its says to apply with a water/alchohol mix to make the film adhear better, did you guys do this?
