You all are thinking the same thing I am.......

A while back I saw a Mazda Protege 5 here in Nashville with some good SOLID yellow fogs...so I started poking on the net and that is when I found out about the film.

I bought the Lamin-X film (buy Civic pre cuts for your fogs, they are cheaper than the Fit for whatever reason) and found them to NOT be as yellow as I hoped. They are a "dirty" yellow, not at all what I would call yellow from my days with French car headlamps.

Nokya bulbs may be an option, as the Hella/Optilux H11 bulbs are "not as yellow" as previous bulbs per their dealers' disclaimers:

And the pix of Nokya bulbs I have seen show less than a good yellow color, here is what I am used to driving behind in years past:

So if anyone can find out if adding the two (bulbs and film, I still like the protection of the film) that would be great!

there has already been people that did the two ,i think it looked better.i want to know if i can paint them and add the film without any problems(paint cracking under the film due to heat,overheating,etc.)

I just used it yesterday on my TW Fit. Makes a nice difference appearance wise but I think I'll upgrade the bulb to a yellow as well.

Go 2 XPEL Technologies Corp.: Paint & Headlamp Protection Material By The Foot and order 2 4 x 6" sheets. Should cost you rougly $12 shipped. Xpel is another great company selling the film, just as good as lamin-x.

Install the gold yellow vinyl films and the output look like the old IS 300 fog light and it go good with my blue lights.

I was only going to buy the bulbs at first, but thats no good because you can't see the yellow when the lights are turned off, which is the coolest part. I think I'm going to buy the film first and i might also put in some yellow bulbs also.

the only thing i didnt like about the film is that it bubbled up caues the bulbs got so hot. so i just took it off and got hid's

yah i dont know why either. i followed the instructions and it came out that way 2 times so i thought why not just buy the HID's. also when i put the HID's in with the yellow film on it didnt seem as bright as when i took off the film

If it bubbled up that means there was still moisture on the lense. Because I had the same probelm when I used water to make it easier to move the film around. But I got too anxious and turned on the foglights. Its best to wait a day or use a blow dryer to get all the moisture out before turning them on. I was lucky though because I had small bubbles and I used a very fine needle to pop them. Which made it much better.

Yea I use soap and water to apply my vinyl film and blow dyer but heat gun work better, just put on some on another car today. You just use credit card to get out all the bubbles. while heating up the vinyl it just like doing window tints.

maybe some day i will try it again and i did use a blow dryer to apply the film. i heated up the lens first then put on the film then used my thumb to smooth it all out and push all the water to the edges.

Well one of my fogs lamin-x has started to burn, not sure why only one of them is doing this. Now I'm going to have to take them off and redo the film.

I though lamin-x wasn't supposed to burn.
