New 07 Fit Owner

Well I didn't officially introduce myself to the whole forum. I posted in the Washington forum though.

My name is Mike. I just bought a slightly used 2007 VBP Manual Sport. Only had 8560 miles on it when I took it home Friday. When I got it home I didn't even go in the house before I took the wheels on my Mitsu Mirage and put them on the Fit. I loved these things prior to owning one and now I really love em.

I come from the Mitsu world with my 2 Mitsu Mirages, one of which I still own. In the past 2 years I have gone through a Mitsu Mirage, Mazda Miata SE, Honda S2k w/ Comptech Supercharger, and another Mitsu Mirage.

Been around Hondas from my start though.

Anyway here are some pictures of the car.

You need the lugnut key to open those lugs, I think they're "tuner" lugs

When your neighborhood knows you have one of these around, at least, around here people leave your crap alone.

Honestly though, in Spokane our theives don't take time to jack wheels. Its either the whole car or its just a stereo. Meth doesn't allow for much patiences when stealing apparently.

anyway, thanks for the comments. I'm still up in the air on the suspension as of right now. I'd love to get the Spoon dampers and Springs but haven't seen a US distributor that has them. Only Spoon Europe so far as I found. So if anybody can point me in the right direction that would be great. Tax time will bring a J's Racing header and exhaust to go with the T1R intake I am ordering on Friday.

The lugs don't need a key. They are Skunk2 lugs intended for extended wheel studs. You need a deep socket though.

I rolled my 96 Accord on October 19th, 2007. I had to buy a car to get around. Now, I just have to wait to see what the lawyer gets me. I got all sorts of problems from the accident.

Gotcha when I had my tuner lugs, I needed an extension to put into the center of the lug to turn it.

Yeah, I have seen those. On these the insides are rounded out once the threading stops. I like these though too cause even though they don't lock they really are a pain to get off. Never understood why but its not as easy as just slapping a tire iron on and twisting.

Right now I am looking at Spoon dampers and Springs but can't find a North American distributor that sells them. Only have found them on Spoon Europe. I found the Springs over hear but I want the dampers to go with.

Go fast parts I would like a T1R intake, J's racing header and full exhaust. Not really sure what I want to do exterior wise. Might just leave the factory lips and skirts and throw on some DC2 ARC winglets and a Spoon rear spoiler. But those are all plans that will take awhile. Still gotta year til refinance so I wont do much in that time.

Car looks great. VBP was my original choice in color. When the car was hard to get and you just want it you take any color that comes in. Im happy with my MR.

Anytime we have Fit meets VBP seems to be the popular color. I can see why.

Well the modding has commenced. Nothing too major though. We did a gift exchange over at Mirage Performance Forums :: Index and I got some authentic Mugen Reservoir covers.

I also bought a Momo hub and Wheel from my buddy Rob with the VBP EP3. He got the wheel from his uncle in Japan. I guess he got it from one of the Honda F1 teams he works with over there. Oh, and its a decal, no worries. Its black underneath.

Finally, I had my factory s2k knob sitting around collecting dust and I figured even though it is a 6spd knob it is a lot smaller than the Fit's factory knob so I'd rock it until I can get a ARC burnt ball.
