Super Mario's New Wheels!!! Ge8's on a Gd3.

Finally picked up some new shoes for the GD3. As much as I like the stock 15"s they seemed to look a tad too small. Plus, everybody has them.

I'm all about the OEM look. What I really wanted was some bronze HFP's, but for $600/set + tires isn't worth it! So I picked up these 09 Sport's for cheap, thanks to Christian (strmslvrfit). You should see HIS new shoes.

First impression: the car accelerates more smoothly (since they're heavier) on my automatic. Car seems a lot taller than when it was on the 15"s. Not as jerky responsive steering, but turning is still good. Went from 195 --> 185, so it's kind of funky. Speedometer is off by 2.4% (too slow).

Car is a bit dirty from all of the rain, but you can't see it

Anyway, here are the pics.

Thanks! Actually I think I'm pretty much done modding the car. Only thing I can think of wanting in the future is a JDM Center Console so I can actually rest my arm on something, lol.

try getting different tires... i think a 205/45/16 would be closer to the 195/55/15 in terms of wheel diameter? i think it'd look really nice with a drop

Lookin good bro! I just bought a set of those myself, without tires, so I'm going with the 205/45's. I might even try a spacer to bring them out a tad but we'll see.

Yeah, I'm going to run these tires down first and then my next set should be some 205/45's or 205/50's.

I thought so too. But it wouldn't look as cool if I actually had some red lugs. I'd call that rice.

My dropping days are over. Last car was an 02 Civic, lowered and I'll never do it again. Hated slanting over driveways and speedbumps, only to scrape anyway. I'm Mr. OEM/MPG now.

I agree. I still got love for the 07-08 Sport rims, but I think these just give the car a more updated look.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Haha, yeah dude. I did it in my apartment driveway with a tiny led flashlight. Visibility wasn't stopping me from putting on my new wheels. Plus, I needed to get them off because some guy was buying the 08's in the morning.

David: You can get the visors for pretty cheap at JDMland.com. $140 + ship. I got them off of ebay when live.com cashback was 30% so I got them for around $140 shipped. DO IT! Forget your lowering springs, get some visors, lol.
