No, its not getting pushed by the front seat, it looks like it is setting upright because the angle of the seat is not completely flat, it is angled down so when i angle the carseat back to a 45 degree it kinda makes it sit flat. sounds confusing but its a HUGE carseat in a TINY car. I hope this helps
