Still haven't had a chance to take pics.
First mileage report: 28MPG
That's with 30 minutes idling at once, heavy foot most of the time, 70/30 highway/urban. I guess it's not bad. I think it will probably do 34MPG easily! SO far zero complaints.

Nice FIT. Where did you buy your Mugen Rear View Mirror Cover at. Did it come pre-painted?

Thanks, like Tool said King Motorsports has them. King Motorsports Unlimited, Inc.

One thing to note though, mine doesn't exactly match my paint... http://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-i...tml#post285529

Thanks for the info guys. I ordered one. I post it up when I get it. If it comes in and dosen't match I'll give them a call. They should be able to color match BOM since that color has been in use from 2005 when the first RSX's came out in it.

The shipping seemed to pricey. $15 bucks just to ship the cover.

My mirror cover isn't exact either but it's real close and looks good.

I'm thinking of just painting the stock mirror, instead of spending $50+ on the mugen one?

That might work, what's cool about the mugen cover is it has a crease that matches the hood crease.

The paint I have matched up pretty good, when I used it on my engine cover... but I didn't know that about that crease on the mugen cover hmmmm.

Orange

Too bad it's not the same as the Element - I think it's a tad too light. Anyone else think darker shade will look better?

Here is what it looks like. Painting your mirror will not look the same since this is a cap that sticks out closer to the window than a mirror with no cap does.

After finishing up some homework, I decided it was time for the daily driver to receive a little bit of TLC. And seeing as today was absolutely gorgeous for once, it received a good wash, and then some Meguire's NXT.

Where as the Honda Civic is currently in the stages of being waxed, as it's only seen 3M Rubbing Compound, and 3M Cleaner Wax. Hopefully this weekend after a fresh rinse I will be able to get around to applying the 3M Performance Wax, and after a 24 hour curing period top things off with Meguire's NXT Wax.

Thought I would revive this dead thread to say I just bought my BOM Fit on Memorial Day. It was the only one left on the lot and one of the other dealers had hidden the keys in his desk trying to hold it for someone else. It took them 45 minutes to find the keys. lol. One of the things that sold me on it was the Lifetime warranty on the power train. It was a special they were running for Memorial Day.

Thumbs up New BOM club member...lol

Just bought mine on 6/17/08 and I absolutely love the color. It shimmers and the depth of color changes depending on the sunlight or shade. I wavered a bit between Milano Red or Blaze Orange Met. & Vivid Blue Pearl was my third choice. I'm glad I went with the BOM, it seems to be unique in my area. I'm seeing lots of Fits in my area now, but I've only seen one other BOM one so far.
Had black leather installed as the first mod. along with my Ipod set up. Next up will be some tint and exhaust finisher prolly.
I'll try & get some pics posted soon.

supe2000 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Finally got my BOM last Sunday after over a month of waiting. I'm already through the 600 mile break in and working on my third tank of gas. 29mpg first tank, 32 second, I'm shooting for 35 on this one. My driving has a been a little "spirited" though so if I don't hit 35, no one to blame but myself.

I've joined the ranks of Blaze Orange Metallic. Sport FIT M/T of course!!!! Just got it tonight. It was raining cats and dogs over in Cocoa Beach It looked soooo good detailed then I was dreading the 110 or miles to come back to Stuart. Once the rain let up it was smooth sailing from there!

I will take pics of it tomorrow!

peace,
