That's an awesome car for this kind of trip. I bet you got very good gas mileage. What did you think about Los Angeles arriving in it after all those peaceful and desolate places? Did you feel the urge to get out of it after some hassling in traffic?

Los Angeles is a lot nicer than I thought it'd be. I've driven to California a few times, but this was my first time in LA. I'm originally from Chicago so I'm used to traffic, I'm actually in Illinois at the moment visiting my family. Los Angeles, like many western cities, has HOV lanes, which are nice. I was able to drive right into the city at five o'clock and zip by most of the traffic. Having lived in Wyoming for nearly 4 years, being in the city was actually pretty refreshing.

Yes, I agree. LA has some jewels in it, especially if one knows how to find them.
I imagine it's a change from being in Wyoming for a while. I'm familiar with Chicago too. It's a city, yes, but does feel different in many respects. Your photos are nice too!
