Have you or are you considering lowering your Fit? I want to get 17" wheels for my fit too and also wanted to lower it 3/4 to 1''. Does anyone out there think that would cause a problem? Please be kind to the rookie. Thanks

If it doesn't rub with the stock suspension, it won't rub when you lower it.

600+ miles, no rubbing and 17" do not stick out past the fender.

I’m thinking of lowering the Fit, but not sure. Hate to use my Fit as a Snow Plow

I have the same concern...if I lower my Fit, it will become a snow plough in the winter...last thing I need is to replace the front lip/bumper.

I had the H&R springs on my Protege 5, it was a nightmare when there was an average amount of snowfall here in Calgary...

Meh, I've got a 240sx with about 1.75" drop + Apex i N1 duals exhaust ( 3" single to 2.5" dual, which hangs pretty low) and I've gotten around pretty good the last 4 years with it. You just have to be smart and know your car's limitations. If you try driving on 4" of unplowed snow you probably aren't going to get very far in anything short of a truck.

If you are concerned about lowering the Fit and having clearance issues, then get coilovers instead of just lwoering springs. Coilovers allow you to raise and lower the vehicle to your tastes and to fine tune the suspension. www.Ground-Control.com makes excellent coilovers and they use Eibach srpings which are the best in the world. I am sure they will develope a coilover for the new Fit.
